bit of a red herring, this. the same thing was reported a few months back but the real story is that vinyl has surpassed revenue for CDs, not number of units sold. a record costs much more than a CD obviously.

I'm still banging the drum for CDs and I buy both formats depending on various factors. CDs suit long form music much better (no turning over in the middle of a jam) plus are cheap as chips, of course.
