Will is definitely selling his bass this time

Post by Starfish »

Wasn't sure which thread this belonged in, but Will C is finally, definitely this time, selling his 1976 Gibson Thunderbird bass guitar.

Good question - but didn't it flash by in facebook that, he indeed sold them?
Marely gossip or perhaps not. It's easy to confirm, but... There is always "a but". Sad that he didn't bother to put out more from his vaults. Spz did A LOT of reh recordings etc and Will had so many of them. He could easily had put out two more discs of same kind as Friendly Fire, which was fantastic!

I'm sure that's a complete piss-take by someone in and around the whole Rugby scene

Didn't Jason originally start dating Kate (or Katie as she's named on the sleeve) when she was involved with one of his mates?
Kind words to Sonic? Er..no. Although the "faith and encouragement" bit is probably a reference to the credit Pat Fish got on one of the albums.
Plus, i reckon that's meant to be a pic of Gerald Palmer under the management address.

Is there even a record or just a sleeve?

your reading definitely makes more sense!, but yeah there is a record in there. plus if you watch the vid he opens the accompany card and it says Groovy Christmas and Spacey New Year from Jason and Kate.. :)

might be a pisstake but maybe it's Jason doing the piss taking and his sense of humour is dryer than previously thought!?

There's no record, it's a Christmas card that has an illustration of a fictional record on the outside. Will opens it and reveals it's something like a A4 card in size, folded in half.

Ah right you are, that explains it! I wasn't watching close enough. A great bit of random Spacemen miscellanea whatever way you look at it

The "credits" and random mix designations do seem like a parody of Sonic's usual way of putting liner notes together. Jason's typically read a bit more austerely. Will does suggest that Jason did the illustration himself, which is funny. The Jason and "Katie" pictures are really good caricatures.

Niche reference (in the unlikely occurrence that that there are any other Half Man Half Biscuit fans on here): that's not how I would spell Hawaiian.
