Charlie Watts R.I.P.

Drummer of my favorite rock band EVER!
A jazz drummer who kept time for one of the greatest rock bands ever for close to 60 years.
Sleep easy Charlie.

Yep RIP Charlie. Even when he got ill and was sitting the tour out, I had no doubt he'd be back in the drum stool soon. seems I was wrong.

that laid back drum style with a little swing is a huge part of their sound, I can't see them continuing now. I think for a lot of people this is some reminder that the original rock era really is over.

RIP Charlie Watts. Loved his don't give a shit, let the others take the limelight attitude. Always the smartest drummer in town. A great drummer and a fine man. End of an era.

Terrible day for any fan of rock n roll/ rock music, 80 is a fair old innings so not a total surprise, effortlessly cool and what a life, RIP Charlie Watts, on the back of Don Everly over the weekend seems the classic rock n roll age is fading right before our eyes :(
