man, i agree, i would love to play on yousendit, but technology has quite a lead on me as well.

someone was kind enough to give me step by step, WHICH I STILL COULDN'T FUCKING DO!!!

yes yes, there's a slight possibility that i am technologically retarded.

well at least i can type, well sorta.

but thanks u_nderpants, i will get to that track as soon as i get home.

it seems to like small files better, I tried to put up a whole accoustic radio show the other night on the back on that thread about them. It was around 45 meg, and it crashed out. Will try again though...

it lets you upload files [or music..] to be downloaded and shared by others. See the Originals thread or Underscore's link at the top. You really need broadband though if you want to send anything

I'm still buying music in shops (although here at work I enjoy radio turnmeondeadman - google 'turnmeondeadman' to find it).

My first attempt here. So it may not work as my track record with such things is wobbly.

Here's mine anyway. Irresistable.

The track posted here Superpredators was a mad professor remix on the risingson single. I heard the 'no protection' set in a Japanese restaurant the other day and went back after years of not listening to give it a couple of spins. Genius. I've got a lot of time for Massive Attack and their last live show was pretty special too.

i wouldnt be too sure about that (though i dont seem able to take my own advice as i am still on a high from them). these are still either demos or unmastered (or both). but it is a sign that there is material waiting in the wings.

have you caught any of the live stuff of the likes of madagascar, the blues and chinese democracy? if not, ill up them for you too. i think theyre better than these studio tunes.

Are they the ones on the rio bootleg from around 2001/2 (maybe 3?)??.
I only really heard those ones once, and on first (drunken) listen I like these more. There is a mini interview on the indispensible rock bible NME's site, and another one floating around internet land where slash is saying it will be released in March this year! (i know, heard it all before). But Axl was at some showbiz party the other week telling everyone it was complete and out for spring.Image

there is silkworms from rock in rio. i have a chinese democracy from one of the house of rock n roll (or whatever its called) shows, its sweet. then a couple of versions of the blues and madagascar which i dont know where from.

(and a version of each of the last three from a boston show in 2002, where axl does a zoidberg impression - im not joking - in between songs).

ill up them anyway. theyre great.

first off, cheers for all the tracks. I spent Sunday morning doanloaind them, and they had a good listen the rest of the day. Particularly liked holing on, and Veiko's track. Wonderfull stuff.

Secondly Jack White, you have your finger on the button don't you? Or is this article about You leaking the tracks?? This article says they were leaked Wednesday. Who'd have thought the Spiritualized board would be the place where you'd heard it here first?

no leak. those tracks were just unmastered or demo tunes.

http://s51.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=141X ... WEC35GSAUJ

zoidberg impression is just at the start of chinese democracy, but im not sure if it was at the end of the blues so i stuck both in. and madagascar cause that was the other new song they played that night.

live headline european festival shows announced:
Rock in Rio V - May 27 (Lisboa) - Tickets
Gods of Metal Festival - June 3-4 (Balogna)
Download Festival - June 9-11 (Donnington)
Nova Rock Festival - June 15-17 (Burgenland)

are all confirmed so far. rock am ring is to be announced soon. rumour has it they'll be either back in europe or extending their stay to take on board roskilde on the 29th june.
there is an announcement of some sort or another, from axl maybe even, by the end of the week. some suggest an album release date, some just expect a transparency over these tour dates. but really, its looking better than ever for a new record.

im trying to get to lisbon but i think ill have exams still which means download and donnington is my only other real option. ive already got it planned - sitting there, surrounded by motorhead, metallica (who are headlining one of the other nights), judas priest, slayer and iron maiden fans (and thats just my mates) with my glow in the dark spiritualized tshirt and my moosehead super furry animals shirt. but these are the measures we must endure for the hope axl will turn up.

Thanks for the Honey Drippers cut, u_nderscore! I can't find any info about these dudes. All I see is something about a band by that name that Robert Plant formed in the 80's ... that has to be something different, right? Do you have any more stuff by these guys ... or any further information?

Is that the Luke Haines is Dead 3XCD?

The booklet inside wriiten by Paul Morely and Haines is a good read. Haines is honest in saying that the Fuse mixes of his songs haven't aged well but agrees that the other 30 or so tracks are classics.
He probably would have been a good manager for the Sex Pistols, even though he was only 10 at the time.
You've got to pick a pocket or two
