somehow i got distracted before checking out the 'real response'...

great choice of sample to use in the first place, and appropriately dark synth sounds layered over the top... it works really well!

i kinda did something similar once using a freddy robinson sample, except mine was more straightforward and happy sounding - kinda 'casino versus japan' type stuff... will upload at some point if you like.

all in all, great stuff.. - just wondering what software/plugins you used to make it

drum loop: recycle --> dr. rex loop player (a Reason device)

planet caravan/verve-ish noises: an extremely simple acidhouse oscillator from the mid 90:s called "d-lusion Rubberduck".. prgrammed the bass line for planet caravan and removed/added/doubled some notes.

minor touching of the filter knobs in that program and then the same procedure as with the drum loop.. then from inside Reason:
MalstrÃ¶m graintable synthesizer, DDL-1 digital delay line, RV-7 digital reverb and D-11 foldback distortion.

The first one with the star trek borg queen:
guitars recorded directly into the soundcard to cubase and messed around with in soundforge (right channel reversed etc)
+ a software drum machine sequencer 10years+ old that doesnÂ´t deserve a mention cause it sounds like shit..

tough one, but i'd say it's gotta be either rubber soul or sgt p..

rubber soul was the first album i ever owned in fact... recorded off my dad's vinyl... what a tape that was (except that it had beatles for sale on the other side

) euurgh!

sgt p for its general brilliance... except for 'when i'm 64' which is doesn't fit with the rest of the album and is generally rubbish.

revolver i always thought was great too but quite overrated by a lot of people..

yeah too many good floyd boots available..

the bbc top gear sessions 68-69 are a must in my opinion.
syd barrett era shows however are all of very low quality - fun to have but hardly listenable..

a whole bunch of duplicates on those vu torrents btw
for example both have uncleaned versions of the demo for "I found a reason" that is officially available on "fully loaded".. love that version.
so not much stuff here if you have the official box and deluxe releases.

and early singles; the primitives sound like the same band as the roughnecks - same annoying background screams and whoooÂ´s

in the pretty unlikely event that someone whoÂ´s interested havenÂ´t heard

Last night at the MA gig there were (i think) 2 guys at the start doing a DJ Set, some of the stuff they that they played was sublime, awesome too. Klaus is in fact a far more seminal figure than his reputation may suggest - although him tackling 'Ob la di...' sounds almost too good to be true! Gotta check that out...
