I bought this CD when it got released (how long ago was that anyway?) and have still not listened to it yet. It's still in the envelope it was posted in.

I will be in Manchester on Nov 24th. Are you getting the first round in ? If so, can it be in the Marble Brewery pub in Rochdale St?

When I first heard Revolution 9 by the Beatles (well Lennon and Ono) I didn't really get it. Since then, doing a track or album like that is commonplace and the original White Album 'cut-n'paste' odyssey sounds incredibly short and accessible.

Guitarloops to me is somewhere between Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music and Frank Zappa's Guitar.
It is what it is, a curiosity.

I do hope direct plug-in to PCs does not become the only way to play guitar in the future. There's nothing quite like the sound of somebody pissed trying to put a jack-lead into an amp! :D

Given that Lou Reed was pretty open about making Metal Music Machine simply as a means of fulfilling a record contract with a label he fell out with and is not a body of music he is proud of, surely you're not suggesting Jason P. feels the same way about Guitar Loops?

I heard Guitar Loops the day after the gig and was thoroughly disappointed, also glad I didn't buy a copy there, though the artwork was very nice. Given I've never tried to listen to it since I'll not rule out that maybe listening in the future it will make more musical sense, but until then I can only say I didn't get it either :?
I'm like Evel Knievel, I get paid for the attempt. I didn't promise this shit would be good!

I'm also going to Manchester - is there a large board presence planned?

I'm going with The Jig and Veiko so looks like the board might have quite a tasty posse in attendance!

Veiko, you are a cool dude.
Your post count just hit 666 which means we should open a bottle of Absinthe or something.

HOORAY FOR SATAN!

Having said that, I only went to the London gig and due to work plus family commitments am unable to do Manchester. Otherwise, I'd love to meet up (and that's a raincheck promise).

Why are the Manchester tickets going for top dollar on ebay? Is there something special about the Lowry?
