Yup - it's a CV song.

I haven't heard the Art Brut single but I'd be surprised if it was a cover. It probably just shares the same name.

Just heard it for the first time on 6 Music.

It's definitely not a CV cover.

do you remeber their first single?

"we formed a band!" repeated over and over for two minutes...it was terrible!
'raging and weeping are left on the early road
now each in his holy hill
the glittering and hurting days are alomst done
then let us compare mythologies
i have learned my elaborate lie
of soaring crosses and poisened thorns'

I don't 'remember' it - I heard it yesterday - it's on their myspaz - but I quite like that, too. It's not *exactly* how you've described it. Who cares? Nagnagnag's where it's at.

thanks for pointing out my bad spelling

I was saying I'd not heard it until yesterday, so remember was the wrong word.

Like I say, I know it's wrong, but it just speaks to me.
It did have a certain charm.

I've always thought their stuff had something a bit different to the current crop of NME shite. I liked their debut 'Formed A Band' the first time I heard it. I even bought it on CD single! Wow.
