Looking for Pure Phase Vinyl

Post by dselevan »

I lost my copy of Pure Phase!

People on ebay said they only made 1,000? Shoot, I don't care about the condition much, if anyone sees one please let me know.

Thanks

They made it on vinyl? That's cool! I just have the special cd edition (that hard fancy plastic version) of Pure Phase.

Yes,
I've bought all Spiritualized albums on vinyl. Why would they make LGM on vinyl and not Pure Phase. I'm so frustrated, why would they make 3000 Royal Albert Hall and only 1000 Pure Phase. Now I've lost mine and can't find a new one...I'm super bummed, I used to listen to this all the time.

Not that much, which is why there are 0 bids. Maybe 50 bucks at the most, but I don't think I really would spend that much unless it wa signed or something.

The 1000 copies bit sounds like another e-bay myth.

And as a starting price that is ridiculous - I picked up the double vinyl version from a record fair for £7...

Is that tracklisting correct? I was sure Good Times was on the LP as well as the CD :?

wasn't there something about glow in the dark stickers on the LP version , run of 1000 of those, Jason put them all on himself, etc.
maybe that is what they're talking about?

I'm just curious how you lose a record.
I've misplaced cd's, but take great pride in my vinyl collection.

I thought it was a common record and not part of my collection. Something that would just lay around. Maybe someone put it on somewhere or I leant it out.

For at least three years I thought I'd lost my Abbey Road 12" ep, until I recently pulled out Losing Touch With Your Mind from its plastic cover for a long overdue listen, and found the ep wedged inside the gatefold.....

That's a bit like finding a £10 note in an old pair of jeans.

That only ever happened me once - but how nice it was.

I think i paid nothing for mine, the joys of working in a second hand record shop.

Id swop it for LAGWAFIS but its got a click on one of the sides and is filling my collection till i find a suitable replacement.

I don't think I paid much for either album.

I'm not too interested in swapping vinyl by mail. I don't trust the US postal service for one, and for two I've never sold a record and I'm actually trying to complete my Spiritualized collection right now. The main reason I would like to own Pure Phase again is because I would like to say that I own almost all the Spirituazlied releases on vinyl. I don't collect anything, so it might as well be Spiritualized albums. My LGM with 7" is pretty worked, but at least I own it.

Does anyone know how many glow in the dark CDs were made?

There'd be at least a good 10,000 glow in the dark ones if not more I'd imagine - they were used to service all the world's music media as a priority act on a major during an 'alt-rock' boom + if I remember right the initial consumer releases in Europe, Japan, & the US were in the glow in the dark box ???

Such an easy CD to locate in yer collection when your loaded and can't be arsed to hunt around.

That sounds like a great deal but I bought Pure Phase awhile ago from a guy on ebay. Would you want to trade for some DVDs? I have a bunch.

Oi, Davie from LA

In order to saxify your need for vinyl, I will send you the following;
Pure Phase Tones for DJ's - SPIRIT010T Condition VG+
Electric Mainline - SPIRIT007 Condition VG+

I believe in doing good deeds and as they are purely gathering dust, i'd rather they went to a more user-friendly home.

These will be ready to be dispatched by Tuesday 27 February 2007.

In return you must also do a good deed not neccesarilly with myself in mind.

I have posted this information on the board, rather than in a PM so that i'm accountable (in some way). If you still want my offering please forward to me your Postal Address.

Cheers

Ok. I just got Pure Phase and Playing with Fire. LPs make me so happy. I love opening them up, checking them out, throwing them on the record player...I mean.. Repeater is so much different on this Fire LP than any CD I've ever heard. And there's even a slip I can send in for a free 7". I love records. But DVDs I have no problem burning for folks who need them. So send me your info. and I'll do it when I can...

The fact that the title of this thread has Vinyl in it and also the way Dselevan describes his love of it...is almost erotic

I feel dirty.

I got it for about $40 from someone on ebay. The cover is a little messed up but it has never been played.

Thank you for your help,
