Got to mention this, only new music I've heard in the last few weeks, and I was lucky enough to get this sent direct from sunny San Diego - cheers Shonn and co!

I'm well impressed : lush, panormic spaced-out songs, fantastic guitar noise, ambient washes, vocals that float past, great epic production. Perfect for the summer I wish we should be having. And a hidden track!

now that you've truely embarassed me! thanks for the kind words though. i try not to mention that much about the music around these parts due to the way some of you have tore apart some of my favourite albums. i would hate to see what you do to an album that i actually wrote and performed.

with that being said, again thanks for the kind words and if anybody would like a copy drop me a message and we will get one out, no matter where in the world you're at.

just wanted to let everybody know that after years and years of struggling, we are finally starting to get some much deserved recognition

one of our songs off of the Electric Soul ep was played on the radio station 94.9 here in San Diego on monday night!!!!!!!!!

unfortuantely nobody from the band heard but it was great to get phone calls and emails from friends and fans (and total strangers thru our website) letting us know that they heard it.

sorry, i know this might go down under the spam or self promoting, but i thought some of you might like to know.

yeah, that is super news!

I received this CD yesterday and can agree with everyone here so far.

It's really excellent. I like every track on it and reckon it'll slot straight into the tastes of anyone who is a regular on this forum. I said to Shonn that it sounds just like I thought it would, except it's better. Great atmosphere, nice guitar growl, loads of space, catchy sounds, fairly trippy in places. There are a few hints of gentler Loop (track 1 is like Bardo Pond covering Loop's 'Carry Me'), lots of shoegazey noise. It actually sounds very English on the whole. I've had it less than a day and I must have played it 8 times already. Get a copy!

I really look forward to receiving this disc after all the great reviews.

haha, i don't think anybody in the band has listened to Loop or Bardo Pond. I remember as a kid hearing about Loop from a jesus and mary chain article but i never found an album by them.


uh-oh, it's gonna sound even more "english", we picked up a vocalist that is origianlly from manchester. i never wanted a "sound" for it. but things always sound different once they've been recorded.

full length??? you people do know that we have paid for everything ourselves. totally self financied. as soon as someone throws some $$$ at us i promise i'll get the full length recorded. i'm too broke at the moment.

just wanted to drop a line to let anybody know that we (abeautifulnoise) will be playing a handful of very special acoustic shows. we had such an amazing response from some close friends that we decided to just go for it.

we'll be replacing distorted guitars with an autoharp, wah pedals for a melodica. stripped down and naked.

we will be doing them in southern california, so basically san diego, orange county and los angeles. ohh and of course to our friends south of the border in mexico.

i really hope you recieved them by now.

also look for a live recording coming out from us in the new year. we have plans to play live on the air for a radio station (94.9) here in san diego. we just played a gig for them last night and they interviewed us on air and offered us the spot.

also we will be back in the studio next month to record a few acoustic tracks. as soon as they are completed i will offer them to whoever is interested, we might even get around to recording "Sound of Confusion" we've been putting that one in our live set recenty.

anyways, thanks again for everybody's support around here, it's really appreciated by everyone in the band.

I guarantee thats what it is. Canada Customs stops everything. Holds up parcels and sometimes returns them as unclaimed that were never delivered. Allow at least 3 weeks if you are one of the lucky ones they mess with.

uhh hello everyone. we've just crawled outta our cave to let you know we have finished our new ep! if anybody wants a sneak listen we'll be live on the air April 6th (8-10pm pst) talking about the new release and playing some tracks off it. the station is 94.9fm in san diego, here's a link for the station: http://www.fm949sd.com, they'll be streaming it and it should be up for a few weeks after.

and since this is the spiritualized site, i thought i'd let you know that on the new ep is our take at "Sound of Confusion/Walking with Jesus". we changed the key signature and gave it a Sunday morning Baptist church vibe. i do hope you guys like it. (we already got Pete a copy in the mail, Jase???)

one last stab at self promoting (trust me i don't enjoy it), our new website is in the midst of a facelift, go over take a look (you can even hear the new tracks there, and of course if you want one, send an email and we'll get you one...eventually...apparently).
