Mr Lonely

Post by clewsr »

Hello.

I've been lookling out for info when the soundtrack would appear. This article says that it is out on 22/04 so hopefully very soon.
Drag City records has a stream of a sun city girls trac, but sadly no spaceman. It gave me a bit of a fright when it started playing at work. I'll have to investigate later. Couldn't see a pre order option or a definite release date, It does say it will be out on vinyl, which is nice.

I picked this up in the shop today. I like it. Jason's songs are all instrumental.. most of them based around the same guitar part/theme (similar to lord can you hear me). Some other more obscure bits ala guitar loops. The sequencing of tracks mixed in the the SUn City Girls makes it a real nice listen from start to end.

Also picked up the new Spring Heel Jack which jason also contributes to.

where did you get it from?
'raging and weeping are left on the early road
now each in his holy hill
the glittering and hurting days are alomst done
then let us compare mythologies
i have learned my elaborate lie
of soaring crosses and poisened thorns'

I just got a copy of this, too. It's quite beautiful. I don't know anything about the Sun City Girls, but I'm intrigued. Can anyone recommend any of their records? They seem to have quite a few.

Oops. I don't know how the word "not" got into that sentence. I just edited it. I AM intrigued by them, so please do recommend an album or two if you can.

I'm a bit disappointed I havn't heard this yet. My LRS reliably informs me that the vinyl isn't out yet, and that they had promptly sold out of CD's.
