Sean Cook/The Flies - new single Monday

Post by jopageri »

Hello,

I hope it's OK and relevant to tell you that former Spiritualized member Sean Cook's new project The Flies release their next single on Monday, The Temptress - and a lovely, beguiling single it is too. The Bristol-based Flies are Sean with Bob Locke and Tim Norfolk, who have collaborated with Massive Attack,Tricky, Jesus & Mary Chain and the Cocteau Twins. Check other tracks from their debut album All Too Human at myspace.com/thefliesmusic and if you can navigate yourself around their scary website the-flies.com you will find a link to a download of a free track called I Have No Shame. Dig it!

Wow, too bad. Nobody seems to be giving a crap. Don't get me wrong, Sean Cook was my favorite spiritualized bassman. I thought his tone was aces, but he's just not Jason Pierce. Never will be...

no offense to anyone involved...but the flies sound like crap to me...

just not into this sound at all. the vocals are cringeworthy.
