I've seen amazing shows there, never stank.
Air with Stereolab was really amazing. Air with the LA Phil, and Air with themselves.
I get it mixed up with the Greek since they are both kind of up the street.
I think I saw Sigur Ros there. Belle and Sebastian. um...I'm getting senile here.

I've always liked the bowl, especially in September. September nights in LA are great. The Bowl is great. Smoking a bowl before the bowl should be great. Plenty of time to procure some DMT, LSD, or mushrooms for those non stoners. Should be FUN. Come! We'll all be in the terrace boxes I guess.

No this must have been in 2001or 2002 right before he died because i was at soundcheck still working for the MTV then and I was treated to ENTWHISTLE doing scales and I thought fuck! this guy can really play that fucking thing.

HOLLYWOOD BOWL is the best fucking place to see an outdoor gig I think!

Doesn't the Bowl seem like a pretty big venue for Spiritualized?

Nah, I think they played the Bowl when they opened up for that band, um, whatever they are called. They are pretty big out here, they will sell out the Wiltern two nights in a row. Nick Cave hardly plays out here and could do the same. It will sell out. Isn't Glastonbury a bigger venue than The Hollywood Bowl? Everyone goes to the good Hollywood Bowl shows.

Loads of tix have just been released in Pool section. From singles to pairs, and even up to 6 together in a row...starting in row 3. How can this be? Are they reconfiguring the seating arrangements for this show? You'd think they would have released them during the pre-sale, or even at the beginning of the public sale. I checked this morning for a single, and the only availability was in section J, row 20. But tonight I tried again, and was lucky to get a single, pool section, row 6, dead center.

Plenty others available, so if you haven't yet, act fast and get them NOW!!!

Yeah I got a couple pool center, row 7. I already have a seat in the terrace, so I can go anywhere now! So excited, I've never been that close at the bowl. The only thing I can think of is that maybe they will take out the seats and have it be standing room, but I kind of doubt it. Maybe one of the bands decided to release there VIP seats to Ticketmaster or something. This is almost unheard of, pretty crazy to be up that close. Or maybe these were reserved for season ticket holders or something. Really no idea! Crazy!

Thats great news dselevan2. And it makes sense that some of the vip seats were released through ticketmaster. Also, the Bowl does have season tickets, so maybe some members gave up their seats? Whatever...I'm happy to take their seats for them.

I checked again this morning, and all the pool seats are already gone...

As far as being close at the Bowl, my wife and I had 2nd row for Roger Waters last year which was quite a treat. But the next night we were about 20 rows back, and that was actually better...being able to take in the entire stage show and special effects he had going on from a different perspective. But in this case, I believe the closer the better.

I really can't wait.
This predicament leaves me with 3 tickets for the show. My friend in San Diego got me one in Terrace for the pre-sale, than I picked up 2 in the C pool circle (not exactly together, but close). Not sure what to do. Keep them all and wander around would be my first choice. That's a lot of money though! Any ideas?

If anyone is desperate for a ticket, contact me closer to the show date. I don't want to be greedy, but if the tickets get really expensive, I might try to at least recoup some of my expenses by selling one of the tickets on ebay. I wouldn't feel comfortable making money off anyone from this board.
