Damn, I was just about to post this. hah.

It's a pretty good interview. Shines some light on the relationship between the soundtrack and the album and maybe even explains the titles of the "Harmony" songs...

Interesting that he wanted to leave 'Soul on Fire' off the album. I've just been listening to the KCRW set, and that song in particular stands out as pretty sublime.

...and that story about "Waves Crash In" is pretty neat.

Nice interview, thanks for posting!

It's funny, the comment he made about 'Death Take Your Fiddle';
'Obviously, after my illness, it could no longer really sound like that anymore, but that's where it started. To write a song like that with any form of pride after an illness sounds like the actions of a fool.'

That's what went through my mind when I first heard it, haha... Of course, I don't think that now, but I'm embarrassed to say that the first time I heard it I did have a knee jerk reaction of ' wtf, is he joking... what an arrogant fool!?!' :roll:
'Come and rock and roll me over, Let's get this damn job over.'
