Will Carruthers + Flowers Of Hell split 3 inch CD

This will be out in UK shops in mid July although I believe the Awkward Silence label will start selling it from their website this week http://www.awkwardsilencerecordings.com.

Tracklist & details are:
1. Flowers Of Hell - Opus 66 (Parts 1 - 4). It's a nine minute symphonietta with Will Carruthers guesting on bass (former Spiritualized & Spacemen 3 bassist who hopefully needs no introduction here), ex-Spiritualized saxman Ray 'Moonshake' Dickaty on alto & tenor sax, and a string section made up of Abi Fry (violist for British Sea Power and Bat For Lashes), Mel Draisey (violinist for The Clientele, who's sitting in with Primal Scream this month), & Julie Penner (violinist for Broken Social Scene and Do Make Say Think), alongside other Flowers Of Hell regulars. An alternate mix of Part 1 done by Tom Knott of The Earlies is up on myspace http://www.myspace.com/flowersofhell
2. Will Carruthers - All Moon. It's the finished and fully textured with vocal version of the track New Moon which is up on the freelovebabies' myspace http://www.myspace.com/freelovebabies
3. Will Carruthers - Davy Love's Locker. This is a space-dub track done by Will and Kevin Cowen (Kevin replaced Mark Refoy in Spiritualized and was also a guitarist in Spectrum and The Darkside)

There'll be a launch for it in London on July 17th when the Flowers Of Hell play with Spectrum and The Early Years at Sonic Cathedral. Also playing Bristol - The Secret Garden (July 11th), London - Night Of The Longswords (July 12th), Birmingham - Sound of Confusion TBC (July 26th), and London - Goonite with Eat Lights Become Lights (July 30th).

Dare I say it's a genuine sp3/spz rarity as opposed to 24 pages of hospital photos put out by a mutli national corporation in an attempt to have you fund the next Gwen Stefani album.
