Primal Scream - Don't Fight It Feel It
Air - Alpha Beta Gaga

There's a bit at the end of If I Were With Her Now which sounds like whistling but which probably isn't...

:? How weird I was just thinking about whistling in songs!

I have the telly on and I just saw an advert which uses a song from my childhood- 'the Whistle Stop' from Robin Hood. It's whistled... it triggered a memory of how I used make my dad whistle it to me over and over again.

Morricone used whistling in some songs.

What, nobody mentioned Guns n' Roses "Patience"? Hahaaa.

Personally, I think that farting in songs is underrated. I can't remember when the last time that a hit song had a fart on it.

With out doubt the most astonishing whistling most come off the track from the brian jonestown massacre album and this is our music on the track you look great when I’m fucked up. The sound that so much sounds like a theremin is in fact Joseph Campanella whistling, this info came from his son Rob Campanella (BJM / Quarter After) on the old BJM site, great story about they how they brought his Dad in and his whistling blew them away so much and they had to use it and how Anton was bringing all sorts of people back to the recording studio, many of which he ultimately did not know there names in the cold light of day, hence the informal credits.

Check the credits on the album and he's there.

Great song by the way and one of my favourites of the album 8)

Wow - I never knew that about that BJM track! I always thought it was a theremin, same as most people.

I'm starting to respect And This Is Our Music more and more every time I listen to it - possibly Anton's finest achievement. The variety of stuff on that album is incredible.
