Going on this poor quality youtube version, it's not immediately impressive. However it certainly has a strange Chris Morris/Jam quirky quality to it, which is rather endearing. Strange choice of direction though...what's next, a naked asexual man up a stick watching porn?

I agree with the above that the best Spz videos were from the LICD-era. Stop Your Crying and Out of Sight especially - epic visual spectacles to match the epic soundscapes they accompanied. Likewise the scrappy stroboscopic Cheapster video matched the lo-fi nature of that heavy slice of innovative, 21st century blues.

A damn cool piece of filmmaking.

My favorite little joke: he takes the stairs the first bunch of times, but on the line "ain't no better way" he finally goes with the elevator. Ha.

Hate to drag out the superlatives again, but the videos for A&E have been pretty stunning. Probably (again) Spiritualized's best yet.

The style (but obviously not the content) reminds me of The Prodigy's 'Smack My Bitch Up' video. I guess the basic technique has been used by plenty of people before, but yeah I'm really liking it. The imbedded personal symbolism in particular is funny ... Also a bit worrying.

By the way, are we certain this is the official video? Mr Spazed?

yea, he said jake chapman was directing it (and i think it's maybe in the news section of the site proper - can we get a link back to it from the forum again, please mods?) and that's who has made hat video so it's most certainly the official one.

i had a real cool time watching it. enjoy most spz videos and this is one of the most entertaining of the lot. it is funny.
