British Sea Power - Man Of Aran

Post by simonkeeping »

Picked this up yesterday and its blowing my mind. I think alot of people on here will love it! A (so far) instrumental album with some beautiful arrangemets, alot of strange tremolo noise and really nice texturing or sounds on it. I was debating whether or not to buy it yesterday and a mate told me a he'd heard from a friend who'd been to see the live show it was the best gig he'd ever been to. It comes with a free DVD too which has the film on it. Looking forward to seeing that too. check it out!

Lovely lovely record.

Kind of meets some of the criteria of my Arvo Part/Eno/Satie post of a few months ago. I see they are playing the Avalon stage at Glastonbury in a few weeks, may take a stroll up there.

Well recommended Simon.

Now known as Sea Power 'cos of nationalism and shit  : https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-58150537

Pity all those psych bands with Black in their names.

Still, i doubt Anal Cunt are having any sleepless nights.
