Did anyone opt for "Kate Radley"? Now that would be a collectible.

After all the aggro I think everyone's imagination died.

Well, it wasn't aggro in hindsight. But y'know....

I've also gone mad and purchased this set and it certainly looks a nice item from the pictures although probably not £130s worth! One thing I would say is that I think the original pill box set probably looks a bit better as the design looks a bit more like an actual box of tablets from the chemist than an all black box.The signed prescription slip gimmick had me sold though. I think everyone should wait until it sells out before revealling the name on their slip so that nobody nicks their idea making it non-unique.

#239 according to my receipt and I was in within about 5 minutes. I think the receipt number may not be fully indicative of the actual number out of 1000 you have.

I guess we'll have to wait until mid-December to really find out.

6 pages and counting of posts from people who have ordered the limited edition is outstanding!
You can feel the excitement in each post. 100 ordered in the first hour alone. Fantastic.
I love this message board.
Especially at times like this.

Just got #623.

This is a lot of money for me. I hope this is not a regrettable decision.

I've ordered one, no idea which order number though. I can't wait to receive it - I'd have been disappointed if they'd done this reissue without the 12-disc (or in this case, 14-disc) version.

On another note, do we get mp3s of all the tracks including the bonus discs, or just the album? Also, do we get the code for the mp3s with the box, or will we be emailed it before then?

Looking at the photos of this set, it appears to me that the two bonus discs are not sealed, but in card slipcases. If that is the case, it's a brilliant thing, as it means I'll never have to open my 3xCD edition to get at the bonus material!!!

The press release was a bit ambiguous
"Boxset Contains:
. 12 x 3” Prescription Pack CD’s packaged in a foil tray
. 2 x 5” CD’s containing 35 unreleased versions & outtakes
. Digital Download Code for the original album
. Individual Prescription Cards signed by J.Spaceman
. Strictly Limited Edition of 1000
. Brand New Artwork by the original designers Farrow & Spaceman"

"For those who don’t wish to open the blister pack, each unit will come with a code to download the original album in MP3 format."
I'm guessing the code will be an insert in the pack.

I would very much hope, given the price, it would be all of the tracks not just the 12 from the original, a lot of people (myself included) will be a bit hacked off having to scrape together another £30 or so to hear the bonus material if all the disks are sealed.

From the Farrow site
Spiritualized – Lots of people have asked us where they can buy the collectors’ edition of ‘Ladies and gentleman we are floating in space’ so we’re pleased to inform you that you can now pre-order it on the ATP Recordings website. There are strictly 1000 numbered copies and 100 had gone within an hour of the site going up at 3pm on the 24th of November. You can find out more and purchase the edition at https://www.atpfestival.com/spiritualized.php

I assume it's just the album and not the bonus discs as the bonus discs aren't in a blister pack.

I dunno, I think probably the best thing is how close the new cover/box resembles a giant box of Paramol.... :D

I'm very interested in framing mine too - and any ideas for how to get this done - mounted without damaging it with glues etc and colours for the frame / backdrop(?!?) would be appreciated.... I'm guessing it should be vacuum mounted in an argon atmosphere behind bulletproof, UVA/B resistant glass maybe. Or maybe just in a lead-lined airtight coffin?

I must have the best wife in the world! After a not so subtle hint, I am getting the collectors edition for Christmas! I wasn't sure I could justify getting it for myself but as it is now a present it seems to be acceptable.I am definitely going to frame this. I got the original 12x3 box and the cardboard has got pretty worn.

I R excited!

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but how much does the original collectors edition go for nowadays? I'll be at both of the London shows and am making a huge trip to get there. I'm considering buying it for myself, but am still having trouble justifying the price.

It really is very cool to see so many people stoked on spiritualized. I always thought I was a freak or something.

The MP3 download - do you think it will be the normal record (where some of the tracks fade into one another) or the 12 seperate tracks as the per the box set?

Oh Dear. I tried to stay strong, but JPB's post made me laugh and the other half saw it (i.e. i cynically showed it to her tonight) and I don't have much fun etc etc so i caved in at 11:58pm and the order seems to have gone through. Thank you Laura, Jason, ATP, Father Christmas...

I believe it will be exactly like the single disc version...I don't see why it wouldn't.

On the original box set each track is complete and seperate from the next. It's not just the normal record chopped up if you know what I mean.

I wonder if the download available with the Collectors' Edition will be just the normal album or will it be the 12 separate tracks. Hopefully the latter.

As an aside to this, and I know it's been asked before, does anyone have a rip of the original 12 discs?

I mean a rip of the original 12x3" CDs. I would just like to hear the tracks as separate entities without the fades and segues into the following tracks.

I've got a copy of the original promo with the 'Elvis' version of LAG on it.

I don't know if anyone has gone that far: listening to each of the 12 CDs individually. haha. I'm sure each track retains the same duration as they do on the normal CDs with the same segues, but cut off at the end.

But of course, I sound like a jackass since I don't know for sure.

I'm pretty excited about the delivery of my pill box thing. So they're being sent out tomorrow as far as anyone knows? There'll be a nervous wait as I'm really hoping that the postman doesn't leave it at my door in the rain as he has occasionally been known to. Hopefully the prescription slip will be a cool design, I went for the name of 'Yuri Gagarin' for mine, anyone else go for something different?

 fantastic idea! how on earth did i not come to that? to be a lame copy of your idea would be to ask to write "Valentina Tereshkova". and i would have insisted that Gagarin will be written in russian: Ю́рий Гага́рин. that would be more righteous.
once again - absolutly clever idea!!!!

I sent ATP an email this morning asking if they'd been dispatched, as yet no reply :(

I thought £7.50 postage covered Special Delivery so if they were mailing out on the 16th as planned (and we know they exist!) shouldn't they all have been delivered yesterday in the UK?

Just noticed this on the FAQs for the digital downloads:
Q) Will these downloads work on a Mac?

A) Unfortunately at the moment, no - this is due to the DRM technology in operation. We hope to be able to offer these downloads to Macs in the future.
