I ordered their EP from Norman the other day. Can't wait.

the guitarist is pretty and the bass player too..

Wow, tough crowd. I thought this would be a hit here. I really like it. I'll report back on the full EP after I receive it.

It's ok. They obviously know that they look better than they sound, thus the videos focus on this.

Does that sound sexist? I hope not...

Went to see them last night. My gut instinct told me i wouldn't enjoy it as what i'd heard i'd been left cold by, but people seem to speak highly of them live so i decided to give them a go. My instinct was correct. It wasn't a bad gig, just un-engaging and pretty dull.
If i was being uncharitable i'd say Watchingpaint would be a more appropriate moniker, but as i'm in a good mood i'll just leave it with "not really my cup of tea".

Their album was a bit of a disappointment for me last year. I thought it'd be better, especially considering the fact that they've been together for so many years already (six or seven, I believe). However, I thought they were an excellent live act.

They were on Jools Holland this past week, dancing to Brain Wilson performing Good Vibrations (complete with face-down jazz hands).

I've tried a few times to get into them, once at the insistence of a mate who concluded maybe I'd given up too quick on them. But something eludes me, and I don't quite get them. The guitarist is really cute though! And yes, sack the drummer (that was funny!)

I'm kinda glad to read this - heading to the Stag & Dagger festival on Sat. and I don't think I would have been able to catch them because there's so much going on! I liked "Undertow" but never got into the album either.

I bought and liked the album but haven't played it for yonks now. Some great moments on it but not really an essential.

Saw them on Jools Holland too. My wife was wanting to see more of them dancing to Good Vibrations rather than their own music. She did come out with the choice comment "women look wrong playing the guitar". Totally threw me I must admit. Apparently drumming is OK but guitar playing just looks a bit odd. I pushed her further on it by saying "what about PJ Harvey?" and got the response "she's PJ, it doesn't count". I called her a sexist wench and went to bed.

Their bass player was quite cute.....even when getting her freak on to Brian Wilson.
