the fact that spazed has posted the message in this thread surely means that it's a new album being announced and not Jasons new trainers or whatever!

here are my predictions about the new album (based on absolutely no evidence I add)

- Life Is A Problem will be on there and may even be the title of the album
- Mama Said won't be on there
- It will be largely country/roots sounding like Death Take Your Fiddle
- there won't be a single seeing as Soul On Fire didn't set the world alight and Sweet Talk was pulled.

I'm looking forward to more GIGS!!!!

i'm very excited.

I think it will be an announcement about the album, Just from the fact Spaced posted it in that topic.
Its a bit odd how they are doing that thingy at Coachella though? Maybe its something to pass the time until hes back on the road. THAT is an exciting prospect. I agree BZA, I want to hear it now, but a download album ain't the spaceman's style. We've all read countless times about packaging records up and making them beautiful. Im off to look at Mark Farrows site now....

having said that maybe it is some new trainers and a haircut.

surely it will be relating to his new fashion/clothing range that he's agreed to launch after his recent appearance at one of the years fashion events where his new range, primarily only white and silver in color with a nice sideline in trainers, is set to diversify the man's talents...

If it is a new album I just hope it's better than the last two.

Amazing Grace is really poor and A+E starts well but fades rapidly through sides 3 and especially 4.

Will be ordering it anyway...

Well I guess the new album will be out around the same time which is very good news. If its anything like the last time they played there then its going to be very special.

an ungrateful lot or what!!

we've got a vague release date for the new album, info on bands new record label, and a nice big gig at a legendary venue.

news is always intermittent in Spz-land. we should be grateful for whatever crumbs we get!!

Totally agree. It could be like before and the news would just trickle out.

Show, new lp news, new label news. Who is releasing it in the US?

Can't open that NME link at work but aren't most gigs kinda, umm, 'career spanning' (except the L+G gigs)?

I wonder what reaction the 'disappointed' people would have had if the show hadn't been announced and tickets had just gone on sale. Probably a similar type of outrage. You just can't win it seems.

Just be happy that someone is bothering to announce things here before other places.

I’m not disappointed at all, a little baffled though.

I’m just curious as to why there was a post in the SPIRITUALIZED NEW ALBUM thread telling us to expect an announcement today, only for it to be concerning one solitary gig in England.

Most folks know Jason has been in the studio for a while and are expecting a record sometime this year.
Maybe if it was a tour or if it had been posted in the GIGS section and not the SPIRITUALIZED NEW ALBUM thread I think people would have had different expectations.

No 'outrage' here...

I'm sure it'll be a rocker....

Probably because that thread has attracted a load of traffic so no one will miss it. The gig announcement also appeared in the 'gigs' section.

I couldn't be happier....but only 'cause I didn't do the RAH gig the first time round (I can't even remember why now). So, the pre-sale starts tomorrow and the general release starts on Friday...I can't get to a PC till about 5 tomorrow afternoon because of work...do you think I'll still be able to get tickets then? How do we qualify for the pre-sale anyway, do we get a code or what? Whats stopping every Tom, Dick and Harry getting in there too? Surely the news is out there that tickets start going on sale tomorrow? :?

as i said before i like the album to appear out of nowhere and go BAM. i think 99.9% of us assumed it would be an inimate release of the album (summer at the latest) so it is a bit disapointing

yes it is good that it is annouced here first and we get emails with presale links but if i hadn;t been told about the gig etc i wouldn't have had much reaction to be honest. i'm much more excited about a new album which gives the an idea for another one of my tedious threads...
