Ha! You beat me to it. I was just gonna post this...
Very exciting to hear that a new record may come out early next year! So that would be Spring 2012 in Spiritualized time, no?...
The one part of the short interview that bothered me was this:
"And then we got talking, like, 'If we don't take it to America now, we ain't never gonna take it.' New York is as far as we could go, unfortunately."
Did anyone try to set a show up in Toronto? This would go down like gangbusters at Massey Hall or the Queen Elizabeth Theatre...
Peace.

Oh yeah, I'd really love that. Or Lazer Guided Melodies.JPB wrote:The prospect of Pure Phase.s played live.... wow... that would be something!
W: What are we supposed to do with that?
M: Eat it.
W: Eat it? Fucker’s alive.
M: Yeah, you’ve got to kill it.
W: Me? I’m the firelighter and fuel collector.

I'd love any Spz album played live really, apart from maybe Amazing Grace (which is just too short and too samey)
Even though this is a really short interview, his answers really gave us some tidbits to keep us going!

He pretty much played it in it's entirety during the 2003 shows - the Toronto boot has everything except The Power And The Glory on it, right?
Let It Come Down would be wonderful live.

Yeah.....Spiritualized have never been known for touring North America that well--Canada, in particular. I live in Winnipeg (population of about 675,000) and in the middle of nowhere, and most of the Canadian cities that Spiritualized play (Toronto, Montreal--maybe, Vancouver?) are all over a day's long of a drive. I'd gladly drive to see the band, but fuck, not a day's worth of driving.LunarTunes wrote:Ha! You beat me to it. I was just gonna post this...
