New Spz "Music Video"

Saw this at the Pitchfork homepage, complete with the label [Universal/Spaceman] tags.

Does this mean they are starting to hype up the long-awaited Acoustic Mainlines album??????????

On the same site is a wonderful clip of Roky Erickson. He sings and does a Q&A afterwards. It's hilarious.

That's from the Iceland show.... hopefully that's not the one they release, it's a rather flat performance.... Didn't they record the Union Chapel shows?

I thought that there was just an audience recording.

I faintly recall Spazed saying they had recorded them as well, although we obviously have the boots....

Are the boots on here somewhere? I'll have to get my arse in gear and search them out. Such a wonderful gig. I was chatting to my mate last night at Moon Duo and he was saying that the Union Chapel gig was his favourite gig ever, or near enough to. I'll treat him to a copy of it.

the Union Chapel is one of my favourite boots too.

Spazed did say that the shows were recorded, and this is evidenced by the B side of Soul On Fire being True Love Will Find You.. from them.

Theres also the apparant DVD that seemed to be in the works ages ago.

Yeah, a DVD/Vinyl package from Factory 25. Their website says it's still in production: http://www.factorytwentyfive.com/ftf8/

I'm not so fussed about a dvd - how many times would anyone actually watch it? But a vinyl / cd would really be stunning!

Yep I agree. Would have no desire to really watch a DVD, but would love to hear that as an official release.
They do 'Silent Night' at that show right?

What a moment in a show of great moments... :D

re: silent night - in the queue before doors open my buddy (who posts here from time2time, max's self is steam) said 2 me about the possibility of them doing silent night. i remember so clearly the transition froom goodnight into it - goodnight just hung around a wee bit longer than usual, j looked over at the singers n nodded his head, one of them broke out in a smile & i elbowed max gently in pre-emptive recognition 'cause i just knew what was coming down.

both union chapel shows were filmed. i'd like 2 see them if only for doggens harmonica on broken heart.
edinburgh is still my fave AM show/boot when all is said & done..
gonna burn brightly
for a while
