happy holiday music.

Post by clewsr »

we're driving down to France at the weekend for summer holidays. Anyone any suggestions for some happy holiday and driving music? I've had a shitty couple of months and I'm hoping for some happy holiday times.

Lionel Richie - Dancin' On the Ceiling

Michael McDonald - Sweet Freedom

Billy Ocean - When the goin' gets Tough

Starship - We Built this City

Mr. Mister - Broken Wings

Anything from Billboard in the mid 80's should work...Hit me up with a PM if you need a 10-tracker. McDonald is my speciality.

There's loads of great lounge/library music from the 60s and 70s that soundtracked scenes of glamorous characters driving along coasts in their sportscars... think Steve McQueen.

Check out "The Riviera Affair" from The Sound Gallery. There are other volumes in that series, and Easy Tempo is a great series as well.

I would recommend some KLF, Parliament/Funkadelic, John Shuttleworth and a good selection of Trojan Ska.
