Never cared too much for this song... like the hypnotic quality of most of it, but the dischordant "jazzy" elements in the middle are jarring and disrupt the atmosphere. One of my issues with Ladies & Gents in general is that it leans so heavily on those dischordant textures, but without the sense of necessity when you get that on other albums.

All of My Thoughts is a great track, but the arrangement doesn't maximize it. Has this been played acoustically at a radio session or an Acoustic Mainlines show?

Have you heard the New York recording? I think the song makes more sense than the studio version. The 'noise' has more structure and works well against the vunerable lyrics.

i had to go back to the PP reissue with the lyrics sheet to check the outro lyrics to Feel Like Goin' Home as a comparison (c.f. this thread http://ideensynthese.de/spiritualized/v ... f=1&t=9619), and here they are:

no wonder the extended outro of AMT has been mistaken for the FLGH outro when played live
