NOEL GALLAGHER today announced details of his upcoming solo record 'Beans 'n' chips'. Rocker Noel (59) reckons his new LP is a "belter" and at "least as good as 'Rubber Soul'". Noel also plans on using the name 'Beans 'n' chips' as a solo artist - "so me records'll be next to The Beatles in HMV, knowwharrimean?"

The Champagn Supernova rocker also told us that in the run-up to recording the LP he had been listening to a lot of unusual music: "Yeah, I've been listening to a lot of heavy dubstep and techstep, archived Portugese sea-shanties, Norwegian death metal and a lot of Stravinsky."

Fans needn't worry too much however, on the new album Noel promises "more of the same old same old. Beatles, Stones, Faces, the Las and that - fuckin' anthems, gak and lager, yeah?"

He highly rates the new Kings of Leon album - "mega - album of the year!".

Noel also reckons the Glenrothes band DRAW are "the next big thing - they're like the fuckin' Who!"

However, Noel thinks his brother LIAM'S new band, 'Beady Eye', are "a pile of shite".

At this point Noel burst into tears, muttering the words "McGee" and "Weller", over and over again.
