This year's instalment of VIVID was curated by Modular Records head honcho Steve Pavlovic and while the official announcement is tomorrow, word quickly spread this afternoon about who else will be playing - including The Avalanches, Cut Copy, Architecture in Helsinki, 2manydjs, Tame Impala, Bat for Lashes and Spiritualized.

I'm so happy about this! I thought I'd never get to see a LAGWAFIS show.
Does anyone know if Spz will be doing any other shows while in Australia (apart from the festival ones)? I'm hoping they might do a couple of "normal" gigs to promote the new album.
I'm at the Opera House most of next week. Spiritualized on Friday and Saturday night, followed by Architecture in Helsinki on Sunday. I've got Monday night free - I'll need a rest I'm not as young as I once was. Off to see The Cure (reliving my early teens) on Tuesday and Wednesday.
I suspect that good old htm_1968 on Dime a Dozen will have a few things to upload next week

Are you going to record the Spz shows? I was going to try using my video camera (sound only, no vision - I think I've got no chance of recording visual at The Opera House). But not sure if it'll be worth it....the camera gives quite a good sound, but is only mono, although I do have excellent seats (3rd row centre). If you (or someone else) is going to record with better equipment then I won't need to.
