I don't know why, but there's something about seeing a band in Japan that is super appealing to me. I'd love to go see spz in Japan. That seems so incredible. There's a chance I might get to see MBV with some friends in February, that would be special as well. Are you going to try to go to this?

yeah! Feb, next week(NEXT WEEK!) and Dec, they seem to play in Japan three times this year.
I think that it is like the storm after the blank of three years for all their Japanese fans.
that of Dec's shows are not in the festival. GREAT.

however, I got to discuss with my wallet about handling of my ticket for Roundhouse :?

Does any one know what set up (full band? Choir? just Jason?) the Japan gigs are going to be? And if they are doing any in-stores or TV shows while here?
Just got my tickets for Osaka on Tuesday!

It's the band with 2 back–up singers. Have no clue about in-stores or TV appearances.

Cool, Thank you.

An amazing show.
A small(ish) venue with great sound. The band were perfect, Jason had a few technical problems with his guitar early on during "Hey Jane" but got it sorted fairly quickly.
Lots of new songs in the set and a stripped back version of "Ladies and gentlemen.." with Jason and the backing singers harmonizing beautifully.
Afraid I don't have a full set list but they did do great versions of "Take Your Time" and "Electric Mainline" during an almost two hour set. Ending with a blinding version of "Walking With Jesus".
For some reason the venue were telling us not to take photos on the way in but I did manage to sneak a couple of shots towards the end of the show. Unfortunately I can't quite work out how to post them here!

Thank you Spaceman. Thank you Spiritualized!

well, two days of the excitement passed right by Japan.

11.12.2012 @ Umeda Club Quattro, Osaka
12.12.2012 @ Shibuya O-EAST, Tokyo

the same setlist at Osaka and Tokyo;
(I guess that it has already existed on the sea of the Internet...)

Here It Comes
Hey Jane
Electricity
Heading For The Top
Freedom
L&G
So Long
'A' Song
Perfect Miracle
Take Your Time
Electric Mainline
-------------------------
Come Down Easy
Walkin' With Jesus
Smiles

there is a great report of Osaka by Danny. (thank you so much! yeah, my impressions for the show of Osaka is totally similar. was so very amazing.)

at Tokyo was great show, too. more audiences and the venue which is bigger than Osaka.
had a few technical problems on HJ at Osaka, and it happened in the end part of So Long at Tokyo.
it seemed to be caused by J's vocal mixer or so. J got off the stage and was followed by all members.
however, they came back to the stage in around 10 minutes, and got back all.
during its interval, every audiences said "what's happened? there is no problem, isn't there??" "nothing! NOTHING!". it was so funny.

anyway, there were the great new tunes which has various variations, and naturally the songs that we know was splendid.
