Rocket Recordings are putting on a 20 year anniversary celebration. they are being coy about the lineup at the mo but says it will include "most of their current roster"

It's a tempter!
Would this sell out quite quickly? The Garage isn't the biggest venue iirc.

I'm very tempted by this. Looks like Hills and Goat are playing if the flashing slide advert thingy on Facebook is not being used to mislead us. Then there is all the recent activity on The Heads' Facebook page....might be worth a punt. Several days in London though.... :?

Yeah three days in London is a bit of a faff. I wonder if there'll be day tickets

Sunray- I think there's two rooms at the Garage but both are small? It is over two venues and three nights though so hopefully won't sell out too quick

the lineup has been announced. as far as I can tell it's basically everyone apart from The Heads

Yeah I took the plunge and grabbed a ticket. I knew i'd be sitting at home that weekend thinking 'why didn't i go?' if I opted out.

it's tempting, but 3 nights in London is gonna work out hella expensive. I assume you're going to go the hostel route?

it if was 1 or even 2 nights I'd be much more keen

Think I'm going to wait for the day splits and probably go on the day that Hills are playing (my favourite Rocket artist). Like you said Sighs, 3 nights staying in London or 3 days travelling up from Brighton and back on the train is going to be a bit much for me. Never say never though.

yeah never say never. I wouldn't expect it would sell out especially quickly?
are they even going to do day tickets though?

Didn't spot this thread....well I couldn't resist and bought a ticket on the day of the announcement.
Apparently they asked the Heads and they said no !
Line up is interesting and decent, could be a great weekend

If there is a possible Outpatients meetup on the cards I may be a bit more interested now.. :) still probably going to wait to see if any day tickets are forthcoming

Really? Lazy gits. I had assumed there was some contractual obligation with Roadburn that prohibited them from playing this.

Anyways be good to have you on board Dave. The rest of you may as well come too

Glad i have sold my ticket now (other than a good catch up with sunray of course)

Sunday look so unappealing, Saturday is OK, Friday not bad. Hills dropping out is the big one for me, ver strange as sunray says when Goat are playing

Hills and The Heads playing, that would be different

I thought about going to this but have decided not to. I have to say I would only really have been interested in the possibility of seeing Hills, with Goat and most of the rest of the acts being of little interest, particularly when Friday-Mon in London would have been necessary. Too much Poundshop Psyche on the bill so Hills cancelling made the decision not to go even easier.

On the bright side The Heads play The Exchange in Bristol on 19th April, their only UK date for 2018 according to Paul Allen. That is my Thursday evening sorted out for me then.

Have to disagree slightly, I still think it's a good lineup. my bugbear is the classic situation where the bands I really want to see are spread out over the 3 days. if somebody wants to pay my hotel costs I'll be well up for it ;)

that Heads date must be a warmup for Roadburn which is the same week. I do like a trip to Bristol, but funnily enough I am thinking of going earlier that month for Earthless

couldn't really find a more suitable thread to put this in, and didn't think it deserved it's own thread!

but another Heads release is out, compiling early releases on Rocket recordings. limited to 1000 x vinyl and 1000 x CDs

Gave it a week to purchase to make a small saving  Have all of it anyway but it's The Heads, y'know (saddo completist twat  ).
I really must post a review of that weekend. I'll get round to it eventually...
