New Liverpool Psych Weekender April 2021
I've never seen Electric Moon so I will be getting a bus into town for this. Everyone else on the bill is a bonus.

Its a cracking line-up and what Liverpool Psych Fest should have been more like. Are you tempted with this Sunray and Sighs (or anyone else on here for that matter)?

Ooh...That's an emphatic YES from me
Like you said...what LPF should've been.
EDIT: Weekend ticket bought £30 for two days, can't argue with that! (This price is only available for 5 days, then it goes up to £60).

Yes very tempting indeed. Not gonna commit yet but definitely piqued my interest.
Funnily enough I just bought my first Electric Moon album just recently. They are very good at the droney long form psych aren't they.
I like the fact its got a stoner stage too (even though I've not heard of any of the bands) which would hopefully supply some good riffage.

Trying to complete the Electric Moon back catalogue on vinyl is a decent way to spend a lot of money in a short space of time. Some of the early LPs are ridiculous now.angelsighs wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 6:58 pm Yes very tempting indeed. Not gonna commit yet but definitely piqued my interest.

Ticket purchased guys. See you there
Re: New Liverpool Psych Weekender April 2021
Ticket purchased, Electric Moon been on the ` want to see` list for quite a while
Re: New Liverpool Psych Weekender April 2021
Mugstar, The Cult Of Dom Keller and Vert:x added to the lineup
I really hope Mugstar aren't clashing with anyone else of interest as i've still never seen them.
Promises to be a weekend of quality tunes and good company

That's some solid additions isn't it.
Yep Olan, I did notice that Electric Moon vinyl can be pricey to say the least
It was actually you playing some Zone Six a couple of years back at chez Olan that turned me on to this stuff. Sometimes it takes me ages to follow up a recommendation but I get there eventually

Mugstar a class act!
Re: New Liverpool Psych Weekender April 2021
Furlough put end to grabbing cheap tix, but i'm pretty sure i'll be heading down for this.
Re: New Liverpool Psych Weekender April 2021
This is cancelled, sadly. When will gigs come back??

EDIT - wrong thread. This one isn't cancelled, yet. Fingers crossed.

Postponed 'til April 2022. Which was to be expected.

Flights booked (that Ryanair website is a nightmare). Are people still planning on going to this? It'd be good to catch up over some beers and tunes.
Only realised when booking that this is actually Easter weekend. I guess that would affect travel/accommodation prices?

Don't know if I can make this as I have a house full of visiting family for Easter. It certainly means that the usual Hotel service is not happening.
Re: New Liverpool Psych Weekender April 2021
Have a ticket but giving it a pass I`m afraid, train and accommodation prices are ludicrous and being honest with myself its only really Electric Moon I REALLY wanted to see, for the expense I just can`t justify it, being Easter that weekend and one or two other things its a no for me.

On Saturday afternoon tell them you're just popping out for some milk, and come back twatted 12 hours later. Sans milk.

Just seen a post on FB from Sula suggesting that he has left Electric Moon... Just before I get to see them play for the first time. Bollocks.
