Re: European Tour 2022
I'll be going to Dublin, Manchester and one other, possibly Berlin as I've not been there since before the wall came down so I might make a weekend of it.
Re: European Tour 2022
Dublin for me. Finally, they play The Olympia
I was just thinking the other day wouldn't it be great if they announced a gig for the Olympia! The one Dublin venue they haven't played other than the now defunct SFX (which they had a gig cancelled in early 90s) and the 3Arena of course.
Should be a special one.

Hamburg date appears to be at the Laeiszhalle rather than Kampnagel https://www.elbphilharmonie.de/de/progr ... ized/17491
Along with the Brussels date this is billed as Spiritualized present "Everything Was Beautiful" so maybe these will be album play through shows...

Re: European Tour 2022
I hope that they focus on newer material as the new LP is only 45 minute long. I don't need to hear 'Electricity', 'WWJ' or 'Come 'Together' for the 30th time. Having said that, I do need to hear 'Shine a Light' once again and there'll be plenty of time for older material. Can only dream about them resuscitating 'These Blues'....Jasonsmith wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 10:29 pm Hamburg date appears to be at the Laeiszhalle rather than Kampnagel https://www.elbphilharmonie.de/de/progr ... ized/17491

Did the same this morning. Online booking at Brighton was crashing , but eventually got through to the box office on the phone. Can't wait.
Re: 2022 UK tour is on!
Is there a presale code/link for Brighton?

Presale was today. Only found out by shear luck as originally I'm sure it said Thursday was Presale day for Brighton and London. Roundhouse presale is tomorrow (Thursday) from 2pm. Good luck to all going for tickets.Shinesalight wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 6:12 pm Yeah I didn’t think the Brighton date was on sale yet. Have asked my wife to get us a pair for my Christmas pressie

UK presale in Ticketmaster doesn't seem to be working. Just sat there with a whirly wheel and now nothing!
Re: European Tour 2022
Sage Gateshead is £35-45
Re: European Tour 2022
Just booked my tickets for the concert in Berlin. Passionskirche seems to be an exciting place. A church with room for only approx. 700 people.

I bought membership for Brighton Dome and The Roundhouse a few days ago. I know it's probably not the right thing to do but this is what Spiritualized do to me . I got presale for both gigs. So excited for next year. Good luck to everyone on here after tickets.

According to this German website, they will appear “with a large ensemble” so I guess this means that the backing singers and the extra guitarist from the ANH shows are onboard, but how cool would it be if they reintroduced a sax player à la 1993? Can’t wait for March 2nd! https://m.regioactive.de/news/2021/11/0 ... pVFhrcNpPy

Re: 2022 UK tour is on!
well, I was dithering about where to go and what seat to get etc, but turns out my friend got a spare for me at Birmingham Symphony Hall presale. great seats as well.
I'm also a firm believer that Spiritualized are much better later on in a tour when they've had a chance to grease the wheels and get in the zone. this will be 20 or so dates in, so all good.

Re: 2022 UK tour is on!
Bought 7 tickets for Nottingham Tier 1 above the sound desk (was tempted to go for a box, but not sure that the sound would be great there).
And 3 tickets for Brighton.
Feels a long way off now.
It makes me hark back to the days of £4 tickets and we'd try and get to 4 or 5 shows, which would have been advertised inthe NME just a couple of weeks before - and I'd still be impatient. Having said that, at the time we were very poor students and new parents, so even £4 + transport was a bit of a stretch, so seeing Spiz has always been a commitment.

Re: 2022 UK tour is on!
Yeah, I think there's that sweet spot between getting back into the groove of touring, and then getting disillusioned with it. Mind you, I thought they were phenomenal at the Apollo in 2018, and they'd not played live for some time before that.angelsighs wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 10:59 am well, I was dithering about where to go and what seat to get etc, but turns out my friend got a spare for me at Birmingham Symphony Hall presale. great seats as well.

Got tickets for Manchester, and looking forward to taking my 10 year old for what will be his first gig.
I'm curious how some of you guys are able to go to multiple gigs, and the logistics of managing this around family and work commitments. Must be hard on the finances to also include petrol, overnight stays etc as well as the tickets..... I was hoping to be able to manage Bath and Cambridge as have family there, but it would also mean taking leave from work which isn't really feasible...

Re: European Tour 2022
In my case, our kids have grown up and flown the nest - so they're not such a big commitment on the time and money front. Ok, well yeah, they always seem to cost us money . I'm lucky in that I can dictate my own hours work-wise. Having recently seen Nick Cave at £80 a ticket, and no way being able to justify seeing a second date, even though I really wanted to, I decided that if the Spiz tickets were around £40 or less, I'd go to two dates. If a gig involves an overnight stay, I'll try and tie it in with a visit to family or friends which saves on accommodation. I'll try and convince them to come along to the gig too. London gigs are a pain though, as the last train back here is 11:45pm from Euston (if you're lucky), so I usually drive, but now I have to factor in ULEZ costs too. I try and gather together a car full and we have an 'Album Club' on the journey there and back where everyone chooses an album or two. I suppose it's the one good thing with Spiritualized not touring too frequently - I can always justify the cost/hassle.Dreamweapon wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 3:18 pm Got tickets for Manchester, and looking forward to taking my 10 year old for what will be his first gig.

I hope your 10 year old is smitten! Having seen Slipstream at the Labour Club at Northampton many times from about the age of 9 / 10, my two eldest ones first saw Spiritualized in 2013 at 22 and 23 years old. They've got a really broad taste in music. Our youngest's idea of a banging tune (he's now 26) is Abba. Fair enough . They've all had to endure many a car journey with Spiritualized at full blast, so 2 out of 3 aint bad.

Re: European Tour 2022
I would assume all EU dates are postponed til later in the year. The varied covid rules makes it too difficult. Still, gives me a UK tour to look forward to and another later which I might be able to make. Me trying to be positive, for a change.

All other European dates are still planned to go ahead on the scheduled date, hoping that Brussels has been moved cos it's the last date and there was some kind of schedule clash. Stupid I know...
Re: European Tour 2022
Wondering has anyone received any official info on the Brussels gig? I noticed pretty much all the upcoming events on that venue's website are listed as postponed or cancelled, but I hadn't actually received any email about it. I'm hoping maybe they're waiting to see if restrictions are lifted in time, but that's probably misplaced optimism!

Re: European Tour 2022
I've got a ticket (and a Paris > Brussels > Bremen train ticket ) but have had no notification of the postponement
Re: European Tour 2022
I had a bit of back and forth on email with someone at the venue today - obviously as it's all completely up in the air they were extremely slow to give out any information at all, and that's presumably why they haven't been in touch with ticketholders yet. It does sound like there is still a slim chance it might go ahead as planned, depending on when restrictions are lifted. Hopefully we'll find out one way or another soon enough.Jasonsmith wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 12:19 pm I've got a ticket (and a Paris > Brussels > Bremen train ticket ) but have had no notification of the postponement

Re: European Tour 2022
On Spiritualized bandcamp all gigs before Oslo on 4th of March have been taken away. I contacted the venue in Copenhagen and they reassured that the gig on 3th of March is still scheduled to happen. Official site of the venue of Göteborg's gig is still listing the gig also on 5th of March.
Re: European Tour 2022
Just got a reply from the Tivoli/Vredenburg concert hall saying that the concert at March 2nd is taking place until further notice! Me happy me!

I wrote to Spiritualized bandcamp contact but have not heard anything.
Re: European Tour 2022
This could be good news for the Brussels gig - although looks like events only back to 70-80% capacity, so it's hard to know. Keeping fingers crossed! ...... https://www.politico.eu/article/belgium ... de-orange/

Wouldn't be surprised if the whole European leg is cancelled.
At least the album will presumably be out when these dates take place.

Re: European Tour 2022
Not sure if the mainland Europe tour is completely cancelled. I’ve had a refund for the Hamburg gig today but not heard anything yet about the Berlin one. They were the two I had tickets for, which I booked on the same day from the same ticket agency. So maybe it’s just Hamburg. Anybody else been contacted about other venues?
