Got my tickets last week: First row, right in front of Jason.
Anyone else going? I think some prime seats are still available.

Anyone coming to this? I can't wait.
I'm going to drive up around noon and make a day out of it.

Re: Lobero Theatre, Santa Barbara, April 23rd
I had hoped to go to this gig and the San Diego gig. I was scheduled to be working overseas next week, but the dates fell through. I even have a ticket for the San Diego gig... wish I could give it away to someone who can use it, but I presume the venue will want to see my ID when the ticket is picked up? Does anyone know if these tickets are transferable somehow, it seems a shame to waste it?

i would think that you can call the venue to see if you can fax over your id and a note with signature to someone you sell the ticket to and they can use that for admission. the troubadour in la lets you do that.
the lobero show last night, btw, was fantastic - better sound than at the vista a few months back. looking fwd to sd tomorrow!

I spoke to ticket master yesterday and they said they will transfer the ticket to be picked up in another name. So, I'm just waiting for the guy who wants the ticket to send me his full name, so they can change the details to correspond to his ID ... I hope he gets back to me in time.

Re: Lobero Theatre, Santa Barbara, April 23rd
This show was fucking great. Perfect Acoustic Mainlines venue. Jason was wearing a white MC5-ish (?) shirt with white pants and his silver shoes. His voice was perfect. They even brought back all the same girls from the Vista shows. The show ended at 11, which was good for my 3.5-hour drive back to San Diego.
A few things rubbed me the wrong way. I was very disappointed at the turnout. People were probably expecting an opener, but they started a little after 9pm to a <1/2 house. They gradually poured in, but the overall turnout was a little upsetting. Also - a very minor complaint - the set list was exactly the same as the Vista shows, with the addition of (an amazing performance of) "Death Take Your Fiddle" in the middle. But hey, any Spiritualized is good Spiritualized, right?
Setlist:
Sitting on Fire
Lord Let it Rain on Me
True Love Will Find You in the End
Cool Waves
Amen
Going Down Slow
Soul on Fire
Walking With Jesus
Feel So Sad
Death Take Your Fiddle
Stop Your Crying
All of My Tears
Baby I'm Just a Fool
Anything More/LAGWAFIS
Broken Heart
Think I'm in Love
------------
Lord Can You Hear Me
Oh Happy Day

Thanks a lot for the set list and review. I did read something in the Corby Press yesterday about Jason forgetting to pack his trousers.

PS: The shirt that Jason was wearing is the same one in the new pictures:

That's Roky Erickson on the t-shirt.
