Spazed99, can you confirm if more U.S. dates are pending for additional cities?
I think I feel it coming on

thank you, Spazed!spazed99 wrote:Wed 30 Boston MA - Wilber Theatre
a question though: do you know if there's also a general admission gig for Boston planned? (as the Wilbur is seated)

West coast, baby. Portland, in particular.
Please.

I think is part of an outdoor festival.
On their myspace page they also have toronto listed twice... I'm assuming it's a mistake and the proper date is in September...
6 Aug 2008 20:00
Toronto Islands Park Toronto, Ontario
6 Sep 2008 13:00
Virgin Festival - Toronto Toronto Island Park

Re: US club dates
I hope that double Toronto listing is a mistake for 2 reasons:
1. I'm going to Iggy & The Stooges at Massey Hall on the August date!;
2. Spiritualized really needs to do a "proper" show in Toronto as well as that V-Fest (hint: Massey Hall!).
Peace.

Re: US club dates
spazed99--where'd you get the info with the philly date? i can't find it listed at the troc but i would be thoroughly happy if it's true.
Re: US club dates
Does anyone have any info on the Boston date?
The Wilbur Theatre is a rental hall, there's no website and they don't answer the phone.

Re: US club dates
Greetings
Long time reader, infrequent poster here. I am curious about "Sat 26 Brooklyn - Music hall of williamsburg". Is that truly confirmed? I only ask because that room is a fraction of the size of the cavernous 3000 person Terminal 5. I am holding off getting a ticket to Terminal 5 in the hopes that the Music Hall show is for real.
I saw Spiritualized at North Six a few years ago. North Six is now The Music Hall of Williamsburg. This is such a great room to see Spiritualized.

Re: US club dates
I hope so, as I'm not going to Terminal 5. The Philly date is correct, but they are playing the TLA Filmore rather than the Trocadero. Sucks, as I'm a huge fan of the Trocadero and saw them there twice.klaus_kinski wrote:Greetings

The Music Hall website has nothing for the 26th, so I'm hoping they're playing. I haven't been to this venue since it was called North Six.

Re: US club dates
Music Hall is great. It's a lot like bowery in terms of size (and look and layout), but they've got a happy hours that begin at 6pm and last until doors open which is GREAT. Fingers crossed.
I don't mind Terminal 5... I saw Ween and Nick Cave there and thought it sounded OK, but it's just too massive. Though I have faith Spiritualized will look and sound fine in there, it just won't have a decent vibe.

Portland, we have a winner. Sept. 15 @ Berbatis Pan

Minneapolis Sept. 10 - on sale via Ticketmaster.
Seattle/Vancouver should be approx. Sept 13 + 14 (just my guess)

I was hoping for a Denver date on September 12 but you are probably right in the Seattle/Vancouver prediction. I might have to travel now.

Re: US club dates
We have Vancouver on Sept. 13 @Commodore.
Denver is Sept 23. BOTH are on Tmaster.
Seattle is Sunday, Sept. 14th @ Neumos. Listed at http://www.monqui.com
Also I saw they are playing Street Scene fest in San Diego. Somewhere in the Sept. 19-21 range.
That is all. Good day.

Re: US club dates
Hi all,
Is there any new word on the gig in Brooklyn? I'd much rather see them there than at the blimp hangar known as Terminal 5.
I, too, was at the SPZ show at Northsix - with Secret Machines opening, no less - back in '03. What a great show..
A couple (small) pictures of that gig are on the old website's photo page:

click on northsix photos 1, go to pictures 26 & 27.

I'm all set to go, now I just gotta get the night off. (Fuck, I thought the only advantage to my new work schedule would be not having to get the night off for shows!)purespace wrote:Detroit just announced for September 7 at St. Andrews Hall, doors 7 show at 8, on sale Friday. WHOOO WHOO!
Re: US club dates
Portland tickets scored! Man, I am chuffed about this gig. Full-on electric show in a tiny, intimate venue!
Re: US club dates
I'm flying across the country to see this show. I'll be out of town when they come to D.C. this month and it had to be done. I am very excited for this.quisp wrote:Portland, we have a winner. Sept. 15 @ Berbatis Pan

I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.
Re: US club dates
All confirmed September shows have now been added to the gigs section.

Re: US club dates
We need a club show in L.A.
The Hollywood Bowl show will be fine and dandy, but won't be as intimate, and Spiritualized won't be headlining which is a mystery to me.
Please play a small club

Re: US club dates
Man. This is the first time I'm missing Spiritualized since I've been a fan.
I wish they were playing a club date in San Francisco. I have no desire to go to a big ass festival where they're only going to play for 45 minutes or some shit.

Re: US club dates
They certainly must be doing a club date around LA on the 18th or 19th of September. No way they are taking two days off between LA and San Diego. Maybe they are waiting until later to announce to not siphon sales off of the Hollywood Bowl show?
Or who knows, maybe they will be playing Jimmy Kimmel. Or maybe since Jay Leno is retiring he has decided to take the high road and invite the boys back to the Tonight Show. Ha!
Anyway, they must be doing SOMETHING in the area on the 18th/19th.

It looks like San Diego band Grand Ole Party will be opening up for Spiritualized on a few dates.

Re: US club dates
Who's opening for Spiritualized for these Sep gigs? The club website only says, "with special guests."
Re: US club dates
Well, Grande Ole Party is one of them.
