Excellent, a hometown gig. Last saw them in Galway playing LeisureLand in '93 or '94 which was really awful. Will be down there for some holidays that time so super timing...

Ticket fees/p+p is cheaper from the Galway Arts Festival than Ticketwankers unsurprisingly...

Hmmm....set list the same as Latitude minus Lay Back in the Sun, cut 2 verses off the intro to Think I'm In Love, and was nowhere near loud enough. Jason stuck his guitar into the amp at the end. A one word summation: Perfunctory.

Primal Scream on the other hand were just great rock n roll, much better sound than Spiritualized, also dedicated Damaged to "Jason and Spiritualized" then Bobby did some Purple Rain type vocal in it  Have seen them better and worse but still way better than Jason's offering earlier.

well that review makes me feel a little better about getting distracted, being late and missing spz! got there for nine and had just got the beers in when primal scream took to the stage, perfect timing i thought.... didn't actually occur to us that spz may have been first on the bill until the announcement came over the system to leave the site! but still a good night out though, must get down to galway again sometime, nice city :)

Good gig, ridiculously early start but was there from 8. Seems like lots of people missed the first few songs at least. Think their set was about an hour, reminded me why I rarely go to festivals.

They also played Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space. Didn't see much of Primal Scream as I kept meeting old friends. Don't think I missed too much really.

Not sure of the reason why Jason threw his guitar into the amp, probably because he had to finish about 9?
