Yep, the first two thirds is great (JAMC, Ride etc etc).

The documentary should really be called 'My Name Is Alan McGee - I Like Drugs, But I Fecking Love Bobby G More'. Its a modern romance really, with a decent soundtrack until you hit the so-called 'Britpop'.

(still very much worth a watch though)

I keep talking myself out of buying this.
I did read the War & Peace book version of The Creation Story. Something about Magpie Eyes.

I never got a chance to read that but heard it was good... suitably epic!

Trust me. The secondhand market is a joke. We decided to stop selling used LPs in my shop. I took about 250 lps around town to the remaining shops that still buy/trade. I wound up getting less than $1 per lp. And only for about half i what I tried to sell.
What really sucks is they will put them out for $5 and up. Which I think is total bullshit.
CDs and DVDs are even worse.

I gave the film a cheeky download and I'm glad I didnt pay the £12.99 or whatever HMV were seeling it for. I thought it was a huge trumpet blow for McGee, and Bobby Gillespie and his old Creation partners bigging him got on my nerves. I wanted to hear more about My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Teenage Fanclub and Super Furry Animals. The britpop section was inevitable I guess but the whole thing grated on my by the end.

lovefilm.com is your friend for this sort of thing, i pay 7.99 a month and can rent 4 DVDs a month. takes care of all my music doc needs.

you can also sign up for a free trial at the moment, and Upside Down is one of the films you can watch online.
