Blow Up - Maryon Park

Maryon Park hosts the historic, first ever showing of classic 60s movie 'Blow Up' in the park where many of its most iconic scenes were filmed.
For over forty years Maryon Park has received enquiries from all over the world about the classic Antonioni film starring David Hemmings and Vanessa Redgrave. The evening includes a full outdoor showing of 'Blow Up' (Cert 15) starting at 10pm, there will also be tours of film locations in the Park 7.30 and 8.45pm, and a swinging sixties disco. Bring a picnic, rug or folding chair.
Come in classic Sixties dress to enter a prize competition. Entrance limited to people aged 15 and over.

That film is worth seeing for the awesome section with The Yardbirds crunching their way through Stroll On with Jeff Beck giving it heaps and Jimmy Page's impressive sideburns taking centre stage. In many ways that sound was the blueprint for early Led Zeppelin. Awesome.
