Let The Right One In

Post by JPB »

I can't urge you all enough to watch this film. If and when there is an American remake it will be dire. Watch the original if you get the chance - it's pretty much perfect.

I heard the author of the novel/screenplay´s 1 hour 15 min radio slot last summer. He played morrisey, bright eyes and agnetha fältskog (the blonde from abba).

Agreed - a beautiful film and probably the best film i've seen in a long time...

No remake needed though surely - although I heard there was already one in production before it (the original) hit the cinemas here. :x

I watched the film and the next day watched it again with the commenatary on. I don't envy the guy doing the remake as the bar has been set very, very high.

I've read the book. It's worth reading because it explains a bit more abour Eli's background.

I wish I'd seen this at the cinema as I read great reviews of it at the time. Waiting for it to hit my local Blockbuster or come onto Virgins Filmflex.

Vampire flicks are hard to get right. Near Dark was a classic. Twilight was very dull, borrowed it from the sister in law and only watched half of it. As for Vampire Lesbian Killers......well, what can you say that hasn't been said already. Not that I've seen it. It just looks awful. Plus there's goodies like Nightwatch and Lost Boys.
