I've just wet my pants. October can't come quick enough. Just checked the Albert Hall diary, nothing on the 10th,11th or 12th. Hope the Monday will be added to make it 2 nights. Is it to much to ask for 3 nights? I think not.

Just followed the see-tickets link and it says tickets are on sale Weds 9 March at 8.55 am.These are arena standing at Â£36.25 (booking fee) This has changed since looking last night.
I'm assuming the ATP link will also go live before 9.00 am

This will probably piss off a lot of people. I think the same thing happened with the don't look back shows 2 years ago.

FYI, the seetickets link is the one with the presale. Starts 8:55am in the UK (1am pacific time).

I think so. I'm guessing there's a pit (orchestra area) for GA, then seating all around it. Still good 'seats' if you don't mind standing.

See Tickets now has Stalls as well on sale. Gone for that instead (as well)

Luckily I accidentally chose the 'cancellation protection' when I got the arena pit tickets.
I was a bit miffed at first, to see the total price hit Â£80 for 2, but it's turned out ok in the end.

BTW, don't panic if you haven't got tix yet, I don't think they're selling out as quickly as you might fear.

cotton, i don't know what to tell you. Try quitting out of your browser and reopening. Maybe even try using a different browser if you have one on your computer. I wouldn't be worried about getting a ticket though....

Got my 3 tickets for a total of Â£114....Â£38 per ticket seems rather steep doesn't it? Weird how only the SeeTickets link and none of the others on the ATP site seemed to work for the pre-sale. Nothing to do with their massive fees then?!

Sorry, I'll stop moaning now. I'm just pleased I'm going to see my favourite band in an amazing venue. By the way....was there standing at the original RAH gig?

I can only guess that the stall seats are a free for all, the ones higher up should be sold with an allocated row number but they don't appear to be on pre-sale. So I think this may mean getting there early to get your preferred spot, let's hope the support is good, and/or they have the Ashley Wales mobile disco again.

Just found this info on Theatremonkey.com:

STALLS
Eleven tiered rows of seats, encircling the arena and slightly above it. Seats in blocks G, H, J, L, M and O (except those seats in blocks J2 and L1 which already face the stage) swivel to allow a better view of the stage.

Blocks H2 and M1 are prime, then H1, M2, O1 and G1. Next come L2 and J1 then K1 and 2. L, J and K are towards the rear of the arena, further from the stage. Sound can suffer for orchestral concerts in these blocks.

The stage often juts out in front of the first six seats in block G1 / last six in block O1, placing you level with the performers. The rear corners of O1 and G1 are often sold as restricted view and are a bargain.

Monkey regular seat connoisseur James says,
"Have sat in various seats in Stalls blocks J2, K1, K2 and L1 for the Proms â€“ great sound and a good view from every seat Iâ€™ve had. Although for the I would recommend sitting from row 3 backwards if you want a clear view of the stage as your view can be obscured by the heads of those standing in the Arena!"

The monkey notes that the arena is used for standing space for the annual "Proms" season and a few pop concerts each year.

Reader Cristopher H opines, for an "Opera In The Round" production (Carmen in March 2009),
"We were seat in the stalls Block M2 seats 92 and 93 and the view was great! we had one eye on the amazing bullfight and other in the arena where Carmen was being killed, I recommend these seats to anyone.

The Royal Albert was not in its full splendour, as the organ was hidden; but as always it's awe striking to see the auditorium itself. Drinks are very expensive and the toilets aren't very accessible but this was overshadowed by the performance."

Further round, another reader adds,
"Block O row 1: This was an OK seat, it was great being close to the front... but you are behind the performer (as I was for the show I saw - Katherine Jenkins in December 2009) so I'm not sure I'd like to sit there again; and for people paying full price I would advise them to sit one block further round."

He also observes that,
"For another show I was sat in block H row 10 seat 30. This was a great seat to see the conductor and the orchestra and somewhere I would recommend for concerts."

In block J1 the best seats are: row 1 seats 32 to 42, row 2 33 - 43, 3: 36 - 45, 4: 37 - 47, 5: 38 - 49, 6 and 7: 40 - 51, 8: 42 - 54, 9: 43 - 56, 10: 45 - 58 and 11: 45 to 58.

In block L2 the best seats are: row 1 seats 79 - 69, 2: 82 - 72, 3:88 - 78, 4: 93 - 82, 5: 96 - 86, 6: 103 - 92, 7: 107 - 96, 8: 111 - 99, 9: 117 - 105, 10: 122 - 109, 11: 115 - 28.

Wheelchair space is available in blocks G, H, J, L, M and O. Users should choose this last after a box. See notes.

Legroom is good in all seats.

Think its going to be a day off work jobby isn't it. Be good to meet up with a load of you....especially those travelling from overseas. Wonder if they'll be playing any festivals beforehand. If they played at my first ever Glasto, that really would make 2011 a very special year.
