How about Leamington? Edinburgh? C'mon, this is two and half weeks away!
I can answer the Leamington one being a local- nearest pub to the venue is the Jug & Jester, it's on the corner, you can virtually see it from the Assembly. it's recently become a weatherspoons but isn't too soulless has still has much of the original decor. has some good ales and a beer garden
or a little further up the highstreet there's Robbins Well which is more a studenty/indie place and does have one of those excellent electronic jukeboxes with all sorts of stuff on
also note- there's an american diner style place next door to the venue, the band ate there the last time they played here (on the A&E tour). i only heard about this after, and was gutted as we almost ate there too but went somewhere else instead
I surprisingly got my tickets for the Scotland gig a week after ordering them. This is after they said they were going to keep it at willcall for me. It might be worth it to ask them to keep it at the venue instead of sending it.
Anyone else second Weatherspoons for Leamington Spa? Seems like the easiest option.
I would be keen to find out if you guys are meeting before the show for beer as i am planning to travel solo with it being a Tuesday and no one else able to get time off work...
I will also be attending the Edinburgh date, should be a good few days

nothing yet mate
I'm gonna email them today to find out the script here. Fuck it - I remember ordering tickets for the RFH show direct from the venue and they arrived two days later. Most gig tickets do. As well as trains and stuff.
So what the fuck is wrong with SeeTickets? The bastards charged enough on their 'we can't even be bothered to pretend it's anything other than blatant profiteering' booking fees....

The latest news on the Seetickets webshite is
Spiritualized - Tickets have been dispatched for Edinburgh, Leamington and Manchester shows. The remainder of tickets will be sent closer to the time of the show.
It's only a bloody week away how much closer does it need to get?
Also, apparently they send them out so late (and I quote) "as this helps See combat resale, forgery and ticket loss.
It's no fucking help to people who've bought tickets and then can't go to the gig though. Seeing as they won't do any kind of refund, even if you purchase their poxy cancellation insurance, what other option is there apart from trying to resell them.

It's nice to be liked,
But it's better by far to get paid.
We're heading down on Saturday very early indeed, so I'd really want them... yesterday.
More annoying I've due to purchase two more from a fellow boarder. If they leave this too late this is going to get very difficult. These tickets were for one of my best friends and our bridesmaid... neither of whom have ever seen Spiritualized before. Figured this would be the best/craziest introduction to 'em!
as this helps See combat resale, forgery and ticket loss
Patronising bullshit. Ticket loss. The nanny state in action.
I wouldn't worry too much, if worst comes to worst I think you can just show your reference number and the card you used to buy tickets, or something. you will get into the gig somehow!
seetickets are bastards though. it's the really high fees that annoys me.

Wait a minute - if this is the case why have the Manchester (Feb 2012) show tickets been sent out? You don't think they've fucked up here and meant to schedule the London tickets 'dispatch' instead?
Good luck with that! I have some friends going down and they are horrified at the cost of hotels in that area. Pretty much double (and then some) the rate outside London.
Budget hotel but decent enough (I'm assured by the Mrs who has stayed here before) - not far from the RAH and also just off the Queensway - I love that part of town.
We booked ages ago and it was cheap, however it could be a lot more now.

Just received an email from Seetickets saying that our tickets will be ready for collection at box offfice on the night. We haven't been in touch with Seetickets or originally asked for this option, so as we're coming from Ireland i'm assuming this is how all international tickets will be handled. Same system as the RFH gigs in the end.
Just got the See Tickets confirmation email for the RAH show so thankfully I don't have to navigate their 'wonderful' FAQ section to find out exactly what I know about the company - pish. (although saying that, I don't physically have the tix yet so the dury is still out until then...)

got my ticket confirmation via email too.

I'd like to thank my regular, friendly postlady who decided to sign for the tickets herself and posted them through our door - she must have guessed the extreme hassle it would have been for me going to try and pick them up from a nearby (ie miles away) depot tomorrow - champion work!
Let My Soul Be Spiritualized® .... All Over Again
my tickets arrived yesterday! got train tickets sorted too, they were cheap as chips. getting excited myself now too.
I've also decided I'm not gonna read any reviews for the Edinburgh show, and I'm gonna avoid this board too, so the setlist in Leamington will be a total surprise for me. I find it much better that way. I remember I managed to do it for the first acoustic mainlines show i went to, and it made the gig so much better when the next song was a surprise.

Not often I actually quote myself but all you people seeing Spiritualized next week should think of us poor fuckers who now have over FIVE months to wait for our show as a result of a second Manchester postponement. By which time more London dates will be added I guess. It IS grim up north it seems.

I feel for you, here in the Midlands it's a similar story. we can often get missed out completely. a lot of american bands will just do london and then a northern date. for me it's then a 2 hour trip either way.
if it's any consolation i reckon the march dates will be superior. i say this because i saw the band 4 times on the last tour and the first dates were really them feeling their way in rather than up there with the best. to be honest i'm looking forward as much to meeting other guys from the board and just the novelty of seeing the band again rather than expecting a truly top drawer Spz gig.
that said, the prospect of new material, and the fact that there seems to be a choir and strings at the RAH show, is whetting my appetite...

Bloomin' heck Mark, I can't believe you're not going.
It's nice to be liked,
But it's better by far to get paid.
made a late call to come to this one. Very much looking forward to this!
I want the band to come out and hit me HARD. Having googled around it would appear that the band line-up is down as having John and Thighpaulsandra present (not sure the source, maybe the wikipedia page) I hope this is the case as I think both add considerably to the sound. The bass player is cool as well, and he's got a good strong sounding rig, much better than the last two dudes who seemed to play really thin sounding basses.
I'm now in with some mates as the good lady can't make it to the RAH gig on Tuesday. Therefore I have 2 stalls tickets spare.
They are:
Stalls - 0
Row - 9
Seats - 151, 152
So that's the block directly to the right of the stage (as the audience views it). Pretty good seats, I can email a pic if you want proof or anything.
They were £36.25 each after booking fee and insurance, or £72.50 the pair. For sale at face value, please PM me if interested, I'd rather they went to someone on the boards than ebay or whatever else.
out of interest, is anyone planning on recording this one? i'm guessing it's quite likely to get an official release, but then we all know how those can be slow those can be in materialising (to the point of not happening at all). it would be ace to have a memento, since it certainly seems to be shaping up to be something a bit special.
I'm finding it hard to avoid reading the other 'spoiler' threads, and willing to bet i'm not the only one..
10mins ago I bought an arena standing ticket from the RAH box office.... Seems like there were more than one there as well.. Worth a shot if anyone else like me was leaving it too late to decide.
I have a spare ticket for the show tomorrow, on Stalls, ticket is £32.50 and I will sell for that amount, not looking to profiteer from this. If you would like the ticket please get in contact by sending me a message.
I also have 2 spare tickets for Arena Standing for tonight's gig. Was meant to be going with my girlfriend but her plane from Canada got cancelled and she wont be in London til tomorrow. Honestly would rather sell the tickets than go myself as I am pretty skint also. Paid just under £34 for each (incl booking fees) and was waiting for the last minute to see if any mates or mates' mates wanted them but I guess purse strings are fully tightened these days! I'm prepared to sell each ticket for £27 or £50 for the pair.
I can meet any time today in the London area or before the gig at the RAH. I am just loathe to put money in scumbag ticket touts hands and would rather sell at a loss to genuine fans (I myself got ripped off by a tout for a Radiohead gig in Toronto and don't trust touts!) My number is 07813594391 and you can call me any time today.
Yeah, 6 - 6.30 sounds about right for me to get to the Queens Arms - if I don't recognise any faces, any tips on how to spot folks? I'll be arriving on my own most likely.
I'm like Evel Knievel, I get paid for the attempt. I didn't promise this shit would be good! Dave Chappelle
Managed to knock off work early and about to head up on the train from Brighton. Meeting the Mrs up in Kensington for dinner then hopefully will see a few of you in the Queens Arms for a few pre-gig drinks. Oh, and for what its worth I'm wearing a navy and white Soft Speaker t-shirt (designed by our very own Modlab for The Warmth's band). Come and say hello.
Looking forward to hearing the reports of the show chaps. This'll be the first UK Spiritualized tour ever that I've not attended
Fingers crossed for a good boot of it.
The show was mindblowing. The new album sounded immense, no idea what the titles were but the first and last were particularly brilliant. Never thought i'd get to hear Sway live, it was superb. Shine A Light and Take Me To The Other Side were something else. Yet again, blown away..
