BBC 6Music gig on 15th March. Maida Vale studios

Post by lionboy »

Yippee! I've managed to get a pair of tickets for this.
Apparently the show will be video-streamed live on the 6music website and highlights will be on the red button digital TV.
Really looking forward to it, though the midday start will be a wee bit strange.
Anyone else here coming?

Gutted to miss this. Have a wicked time and let us know what happens.
and through wax seals and padlocks...a hand through my ribcage...past the choking I saw palms and fingers grasping shoulders...collarbone...crushing...I imagined myself hacking desperately at a sea of appendages...freeing myself like a butcher...

I'm going! My mates all registered for tickets for me as a birthday present. They didn't expect to get all 6 they requested, so I now expect to have two spare. - If anyone wants them then drop me a pm.

So I just got a text telling me that the Beeb are looking forward to seeing me at Maida Vale tomorrow. I asked for two tickets but nothing turned up in the post so I assumed I hadn't got lucky.

Seems I was wrong, I guess I'll just show them the text.

Could anyone on here who has a ticket do me a favour and tell me what time I have to be there and if there's a number I can call to confirm the info I have please?

The ticket says admission on site is 11 am, studio doors open at 11.45, live broadcast at 12.
The number to call for any queries is 0370 901 1227. You'd definitely better phone in advance as the T&Cs on the ticket say that each one has an individual bar-code that needs to be validated on arrival. Good luck!

Great, thank you.

The Beeb got back to me, I should have received a confirmation email (I didn't) but my name's on the list. Badass!

DiS may have 5 mins Q&A with Monsieur Spaceman so are asking what questions could be asked.........so far there's one response "does he ever where those ace silver trousers around the house?", haha.

SETLIST:

Hey Jane
Lord Let It Rain On Me
Little Girl
She Kissed Me
Mary
I Am What I Am
Come Together

No Coxon! So it's essentially the same set up as the A&E tour - two guitars, keys bass drums and two backing singers.

Agreed, the band is fucking ON. She Kissed Me was amazing! Jason also playing a lot more licks and things than on the 2008 shows, which is v cool

So good just watched it twice in a row. Band are on top form. Never particularly rated "She Kissed Me" before but it sounded great. Can't wait for Saturday's gig...

As promised, here's the 200MB flv vid in a zip file:
http://www.wupload.co.uk/file/267583150 ... 150312.zip
Apologies for the shitty file hosting site. Please avoid clicking any of the millions of banners on there. Scroll about halfway down the page and click the 'Regular Download' button. A 30 second countdown should then start, after which the option to download the file should appear.

THANK YOU a million times thank you. You should be showered with champagne and women (or drugs or men depending on your preference - I don't wanna assume anything  ).

If anyone's still having problems with the video I've got a nice handy AVI winging its way down my internet pipe just now. Will fire it up on sendspace later on (depending on Friday night antics may be tomorrow).

I chopped up the tracks. Now you can have each song individually instead of one long mp3. Yay, technology!!!
