Gateshead Sage - 1st November - Ticket Oddness ?

Post by charles w »

Bought my tickets some time ago but out of curiosity have checked availability from time to time.

Sales seemed to be going OK.

Checked today and it seems from the 'live' seating plan that a whole bunch of tickets are now available whereas previously they appeared sold. (Right hand side looking from the stage)

Levels 2 and 3 are not on sale, and I'd estimate that only a third of level 1 tickets have been sold.

Considering the tickets are a, IMHO, a very reasonable £21.50, I'd say sales are very disappointing. Maybe with University term time starting soon sales will pick up. I fear a very poorly attended gig.

I'm considering travelling to that... I've never been to the Sage so have no clue but it seems like a venue where they can use different configurations?
Checking the website today, L2 is available - in fact center seats there available, but none on the side.
Maybe based on ticket sales so far they're thinking of closing L3 as well as some parts of L2?
