Sonic is back in!! We can't wait and hope you can make it. Sonic is looking forward to it, and so he should be! It's our 7th birthday party and it's bound to be great. He brings an amazing set of sounds with him, and we know it will be a hit.

As well as the 2 hour DJ set, we also have a live set form Plank!, Manchester's finest Kraut-Rock superstars ready to test out new material. Their debut LP animalism was one of the hits of last year with many independent stores and music blogger types.

28th June, 9pm-4am...

Might do. I caught the end of the Plank! set in support of White Hills in Liverpool last month. I was quite impressed. I'm also pretty sure I saw Mind Mountain support either White Hills or Moon Duo in Liverpool last year. IIRC they had a Hawkwind meets Deep Purple thing going on. It has been years since I've gone to one of Sonic's DJ things so it should be a good night...

Don't much like the venue (Camp and Furnace), they played. It is a big white cube with concrete floors and ceilings so the sound was really poor. Add in a crowd that didn't turn up until Mugstar were nearly finished and it must have been tough for Plank!.

Really pleased with the advance sales for this. Just need some full price payers on the door and we've covered all costs. No profit to be had I'm sure, but that's not what it was ever about!

Was a fantastic evening!

PLANK! and Mad Mountain were great! SONIC as always was SONIC!
(Simple Headphone Mind remix 2-3x over was just incredible)

Wish others could have made it.

shamefully I never made it - despite living 25 miles away. My typical acquaintances were n/a and last time I ventured to the Northern Quarter on my tod to see PK he never turned up, so didn't tempt fate again.

Hope fun was had by all - anyone take a copy of his set. I've been listening to his APF set A LOT. A 30 minute mix of Simple Headphone Mind sounds worth the entrance ticket itself.

Hope you covered your costs James T - and a bit extra for initiative of putting this on.

Hey! Costs were covered apart from maybe the posters/flyers, but we paid for those months ago so it's invisible money that now. Had a great night, we definitely sold enough tickets and had enough people pay on the door to be max capacity but the way the crowd were in and out it never looked close to that. Still, I think everyone involved had a great night and we got a lot more exposure from doing this one which can only help in future.

Next one in august, will start planning the 8th birthday now...
