so, I may get a chance to see them after all (this is also a set that isn't just Marquee Moon), if I can be bothered to trudge down to London. they were playing Glastonbury the year I went, but it was all over the other side of the site and my friends dragged me to see bloody Muse instead. I regret this every day
any other big fans of Television here?
anybody seen them live in recent years.. so many questions- could it really be the same without Richard Lloyd? does Verlaine phone it in? also his voice seems pretty shot in the live vids I have seen.
the band have also been playing bits and bobs of new material for YEARS now and they have been promising a new album for a long time (produced by Jimmy Ripp, who is the fella that replaced Lloyd)..
to be honest I'm not even sure how good this gig will be but I really want to see them and make my own mind up. could also be my last chance. they tour very intermittently.
