Naw, a bit like early Spacemen though, without the blues and gospel.

Apparently they are going to announce the full dates next week. Fingers crossed for west coast.

I was listening to A Gilded Eternity last night and I definitely don't see the connection. I suppose at the time they came out there weren't many bands doing that style of guitar music, so the comparisons were immediately drawn to Spacemen 3. Of course we (the meticulous defenders of Spacemen 3/Spz) know thousands of reasons why they don't sound the same, but I wouldn't hold it against a casual observer.

I think it's only the early period of Heaven's End and the singles that made up The World In Your Eyes that a comparison could be made. There's certainly no similarities from Fade Out onwards.

As a Loop fan I've never understood why A Gilded Eternity is held in such high regard. Anyone I know that's into Loop would regard it as their weakest album by some distance. As would I.

I agree, although I do enjoy it. Fade Out is my favourite.

I'm amazed that I've never heard of them also but I sure know about them now and they are great. I can understand why some people would consider them like Spacemen but they are a totally different thing.

The reissue CD's are excellent! Can't wait to see them.

Portland tonight. I'm tempted and may pop down. Been a busy (and hot) week though. Maybe some loud drone is just what I need at the end of a long week...

Nope. Couldn't muster the energy to go. If I liked the band more I'm sure I would have dragged myself down. I chose, instead, to sit outside on a glorious evening and drink a bottle of wine with my wife.

Saw Loop last night, and have to say, they were seriously good. They've tightened up a lot since ATP, and adding forever to the set worked well. My ears are really struggling today, tried earplugs but they're white aren't they. Was right up front, surprised I can hear at all really. They had original copies of prisma uber Europa that the label had found in a box, I grabbed a copy. Robert also gave me a new shirt, cause the logo washed off the last one right away.

I was surprised they had those copies of Prisma Uber Europa, and picked one up myself, I though they were superb, a month or so around America has knocked any rust off, never heard Soundhead sound as good, and yes I though Forever worked surprisingly well also, they were beset with some technical probs. in the second half off their set though, shame. Monitors and amps packing in, that type of thing, didn`t take much away for me as when they were playing, they were really good, grabbed a quick word with them all after, seemed happy to talk, good night all in, and yes ears were struggling as well the day after,

Robert was in good spirits after Leeds, it doesn't sound as if these are the last of the dates either which is music to my ears. Seems like they're enjoying themselves, even a fair bit of joking with the crowd during the set.

Loop can now confirm their appearance at Levitation Festival, Angers in France 20th September.

The band now will consist of members Robert Hampson (Gtr./Voc), Wayne Maskell (Drums), Hugo Morgan (Bass) and a new second guitarist to be finalised in the coming weeks.

Sadly, due to circumstances of logistics and personal lives outside of the band, it is with regret that Neil McKay and Scott Dowson can no longer be involved in the Loop project. Our best wishes go with them both.

Future festival and concert appearances are now being organised for later of this year 2014 and well into next year 2015.

New recordings in the shape of a 3 track EP called ‘Array’ will be released later this year.
