- THE OSCILLATION -
Veering between krautrock edginess and bittersweet pop melancholia, droning medicated tones and noise driven no wave fuzz, The Oscillation recalls the kosmische musik of Neu! and Tangerine Dream interpreted with an eye on Pil’s dubbed out punk funk, Miles Davis’ experimentalism and Spacemen 3′s strung out blues rock.
Beginning in 2008 as the solo project of Demian Castellanos, when DC Recordings released the debut “Out Of Phase”, The Oscillation quickly expanded into a formidable live force. The enlarged ensemble has featured numerous different musicians plus the live visual manipulations of film maker Julian Hand.
In September 2013 The Oscilltion released their 3rd album ‘From Tomorrow’ which has won acclaim from all corners of the world.
- DEAD SEA APES -
Dead Sea Apes are a Manchester based trio with a big, dark sound that incorporates everything from space to drone to dub in its ambitious instrumental rockscapes. Now, given that these boys hail from the heartland of the Industrial Revolution in Manchester, it sounds like they have been spending far too much time in dark woodland forests.
- BOB STANLEY -
We have long discussed the possibility of getting Bob to come and DJ at Dots & Loops, so we're super happy to welcome him to the party for our 8th birthday special at Kraak. As a member of Saint Etienne he has made some of the greatest pop music of the last 25 years; and his book 'Yeah Yeah Yeah - The History of Modern Pop' was not only one of our top purchases of the last year, but received rave reviews across the board. He has also recently launched the new record label 'Croydon Municipal', which specialises in unearthing forgotten albums, lost 45s and 78s from the mid 20th century.
Expect a psychedelic indie pop soul disco til the early hours of the morning. We will be DJing too, so you can also expect to hear our usual sounds throughout the evening.

I think I have the dark blue version of that t-shirt. I made the mistake of giving it to my Mam to wash - now all the silver print is flaking off, no doubt due to some overly hot wash! Taught me a lesson about being lazy...
I'm like Evel Knievel, I get paid for the attempt. I didn't promise this shit would be good!

I bought it off Pete at a Spectrum show in Manchester, at the time it was far too big and he said I should just wait for him to post me a medium, but I wanted it there and then so bought the large. Luckily I'm a bit of a fat bugger these days so it fits. Or is that unlucky? Who knows..

I feel your pain - my late 30s have been especially unkind to my waistline
Never knew PK sold those design shirts, I got mine from eBay - maybe was too hasty to cast blame on the washing front!
Last shirt I bought from PK was a nice white one with front and back print ... haven't worn it much since I seen the same go for silly prices on eBay, not that I'd consider selling...
