Drone Rock Records Showcase gig

Post by Shinesalight » Mon Nov 20, 2017 10:27 pm

I've been running my record label, Drone Rock Records, for nearly 3 years now and to celebrate the label and some of the bands featured on it (and a couple who will hopefully feature on it in the future) I have organised a showcase gig in Brighton next February along with special headliners, Carlton Melton, one of my favourite bands of the modern psych scene (and I know they've got quite a few fans on here). Anyway, the gig is on Saturday 24th Feb and runs from 5/6pm to midnight. Tickets are £10 in advance of £12 on the door with a few early bird tickets at £8 for those quick off the mark. Here is a link to the Facebook events page with has more info on the bands involved and ticket details:-

I shall be there. Carlton Melton should never be missed live. Should be a cracker.

I also hope to make this, will know nearer the time but signs are promising.

They are also stopping by our humble little 70 capacity venue in Northwich, Cheshire 2 days later. Support coming from Stupid Cosmanaut plus Dots and Loops will be DJing. Tickets will be up on we got tickets later today. Advance tickets a fiver !!

First major gig under my re-ignited "Mind Exodus" moniker, more to come.

Bit gutted its a Monday but it was the only date available and I was desperate to get them on. Fingers firmly crossed for a decent turnout

I've pencilled this in my book. Looks to be an amazing day of music and hope to make it.

I've snagged two tickets for this so my gig buddy from London can come along. Looking forward to it!

Really great evening that seemed to run like clockwork. 6 bands, lots of drone.
Can't say that any one band stole the evening for me, just enjoyed the whole night, with what looked and sounded like a like minded crowd.
Thanks Shines for organising a smoothly run Showcase.
