had it confirmed from 4 different music shops/ticket outlets in town, its happening but *when* is the issue which isnt yet resolved, i cant see him doing it any time but when he's curating the orange festival and he has spz/spacemen related influences booked (daniel johnston etc), so should be May time perhaps?

Had it confirmed from a reliable source last night that the gig is happening but not at the Cluny as orginally planned due to the amount of desk inputs etc. It will be at the new SAGE venue in Gateshead instead.
Im glad about this in a way, because the sound would have been awful at the Cluny for a band like spiritualized.

I would expect the gig to take place around the end of May as the Cluny has listed The Dirtbombs (jasons fave band) for the 23rd May and Daniel Johnston for the 26th May.

Anyone going to the Johnston gig too?

The Resentments are allegedly playing on the 19th as part of the festival.

I've just got 2 tickets for Hall 2 @ The Sage Gatehead May 28th. It is an amazing venue with superb sound quality! I can't wait to see Spiritualized again it's going to be awsome!
