What the fuck are you talking about, you mong?
I've never even seen a copy of the RFH DVD.
I've received one free DVD from this board and that was the Glastonbury 2004 show, which I then advertised for free the first two people who PM'd me.
I sent copies to Burdman76 & SpaceManRob.
Spliffboy, I suggest if you have any personal comments to make to me, you send me a PM in future.
I don't like having to justify myself in public to a cunt like you.

Also, please correct me if I'm wrong...BUT there were rumours that The Jig was gonna include with all discs sent a voucher redeemable from WWFC for a VIP day out ( to meet the 'stars' ) at M*******X for the game of your choice.....
my personal opinion is its just a scam so he aint gotta sit alone....

Right people, The Jig's CDs arrived through my letterbox this morning.
He's kindly sent me all 5 shows.
I'm gonna make 2 copies of each show and send them on to whoever needs them, on a first-come first-serve basis.
I can only send them to people within the UK.
PM your details, requesting which show(s) you want and I'll keep my end of the bargain.
I'll let all who PM me know whether they've got in on time and if the show they want is still available.
Obviously anyone who receives CDs from me has to do their bit and make more copies available.

perhaps i exagerated when i said worried.......i spent quite a bit of time at the g-stage, which seemed to attract the most monged people, therefore i thought of you and laughed to/at myself at least once a day!Fuzzhead wrote:Spliffy, don't worry about it.
It was a simple case of crossed wires.
If that's all you have to worry about, I'd be happy if I were you!
So, who/what were the highlights for you at Glastonbury?
glasto highlights would have to be walking round the hill while Brian Wilson played, (wasn't there for all of it but what i saw was amazing and I'm not really a fan)......The Beat were very good on Sunday, Martha Wainwright also fantastic.......but I think the highlight was the silent disco sunday night........so surreal taking your headphones off and standing in a near silent (music wise) tent, watchin everyone going mental!
Was a poor effort this year from me, just couldn't be arsed wading through the mud so unless I really wanted to see someone (and even then, there was a whole shall i /shan't i internal debate thing going on), I just chilled in the dance field.............I was absolutely astounded when Primal Scream didn't play Loaded....i can only presume he intended it as an encore, they would have to be a highlight too, people seemed to be moaning about them but I thought they were top notch!

tap tap. is this thing on? For the THIRD time of writing, got the Sapcemen 3 and 1990 show from MC thanks very much. Have had one request so far for the shows, will send out 3 more, if anyone manages to PM me before this message self destructs.
Spaceline, - my second attempt to respond to your now deleted message. Yes, really like the 1990 show. I was surprised at the overall quality, which was good apart from some very strange noises made by drunk Parisians. Yes the These Blues / Harmony /Codine finish was really good, and I thought Anyway that you want me Sparkled. The only thing that was missing was Why Don't you Smile now, but I suppose that must have joined the setlist a little later. Listening to this show got me listening to a couple of others from aorund this time. They are so different from later shows, possibly not as competent technically, but I really like the warm, fuzzy sound that pervades the entire set.
Only listened to it on my ipod so far [with some good Spanking good quality headphones which probably really helped the sound]. Will need to wait until I get a night in by myself to crank it up on the stereo. My girlfriend tolerates my avid love of Spritualized, and will happily attend the gigs, but she tends to draw the line at obscure old bootlegs.
Anyways, thanks very much to you and Jig for making this happen.

cool rich, i was wondering where the heck my message went
basically, i just asked what people thought of these gigs so far. that paris show has a few tracks they've only done live i think, and like rich says the sound is pretty solid for a 15 year old bootleg.
i think my favorite live version of anyway that you want me is on that burberries show from 90, a pretty well circulated recording. but it's great here too, and they should bust it out again one of these days! we've heard wwj and a few others enough already.
why don't you smile is a great live one too, what i wouldn't do for a truly quality recording of one of those early gigs. my holy grail would be a soundboard of the glastonbury '94 set, i have a very rough cassette bootleg of this gig but what i can make out of slide song is so great i'd kill for a proper copy...merely dreaming out loud now...

I was at that gig - Burberries in broad st in B'ham. Must have been one of the first few gigs. There was actually a little sandwich board outside with spacemen 3 written on it and no mention of spiritualized. I remember the place being full of mirrors like it should've been a roller disco. Well, I've never been to a roller disco - but I have seen some 70s porn...SpaceLine wrote: i think my favorite live version of anyway that you want me is on that burberries show from 90, a pretty well circulated recording. but it's great here too, and they should bust it out again one of these days! we've heard wwj and a few others enough already.
Lived in Dudley at the time - and saw spiritualized countless times in the following years. But my all time favourite ever gig was either a bit before or a bit after the Burberries gig at JBs in Dudley. Less to do with the sound - my favourite gig on that score was in the old Jehovah's witnesses kingdom hall in Birmingham with the full thighpaulsandra/choir/horns set up (when acetone were supposed to support but visa problems got in the way I think). The JBs gig was just the best gig from an experiential/generally-top-vibrational point of view. There must have been all of about 12 people there but they played a blinder nonetheless. We sat down/ lied down about 10feet from the stage with nobody in front of us, plenty of reefers and beautiful sounds. Our friend Nik, who has always had to indulge just that little bit too much actually slept through the whole gig. He lives in Amsterdam nowadays but even now, 15 years later, every time one of us sees him he'll get reminded that he had a whitey and slept through the best gig ever.
Anyway, as I rarely seem to come across tapes of gigs that I've been to, and I'm astounded that the burberries gig was taped - does any nice person want to set up a trade?
Paul
