Spitz presents... The Gospel of Primitive Rock & Roll (A film by Marc Litler) + live performances from The Mutts, Los Banditos, Pure Evil, Mr. David Viner, Chicken Legs Weaver, DJ Scratchy & more.
This voodoo blues all dayer featuring a documentary on legendary Swiss label Voodoo Rhythm is complemented by the launch of the Saturday Saloon downstairs in the Bistro with one man band Tom Rodwell, Not The Same Old Blues Crap DJs, and cheap whiskey at the bar. Upstairs we'll be opening early to show Marc Litler's film "The Gospel of Primitive Rock & Roll" (4pm). The performances will then be kicked off by Mr. David Viner's raw ragtime blues show and Chicken Legs Weaver (whose debut album "Nowhere" was produced by Johnny Dowd). Other highlights include a rare appearance by East-Germans Los Banditos (a household name on the continent's surftastic beat & roll scene who attract crowds of 5000+ at home) and also The Mutts from Brighton who gave a mighty performance at the Spitz Festival of Blues earlier this year.
