can someone explain how this works, i cant get to grips with it at all, how do you transfer files that are flac into mp3, i have not a bloody clue, thanks

the software you use depends on if yer bound up in Winderz or on a loverly Mac w/OS X.

basically, you convert FLAC or SHN or APE files into WAV (AIFF) files (lossless decompression) then you burn audio CDs. or you can degrade the WAV to MP3 using yer encoder of choice. (iTunes, for example, or LAME if ya want better quality)

it took me ages to find a decent converter. DBpoweramp seems to be the best choice. Can't remember if it is sharware or not...

I use windows primarily...

I've been using Bit Tornado as a download client for a long time and it has been great. http://www.bittornado.com/

dbpoweramp is good and free to convert to wav or whatever you want.

After you install the dbpoweramp, you'll need to install additional extensions to convert flac and shn files.
