he recorded it in a borrowed warehouse, next to charles st police station, and across st georges way from the mercury building.
its now been demolished.

Better still, he could turn up in a red Spacemen 3 t-shirt and say "Right, who do I owe t-shirts too? Got a whole box of them here. There's a free extra one for everyone who has waited more than six months after i took your money..."The Breeze wrote:The only thing that could make this better is for Sonic to turn up in a red Spacemen 3 T-shirt and kick a balloon off the stage.

Sonic is now off the hook. S3 shirt that took 7 months to get here turned up in my mail box day before yesterday and it's quality!
I think I feel it coming on
just went and got my ticket for brighton. ended up having a long enthuisatic chat about pierce with the guy sellin' the ticket who was impressed that i knew about the gig (thanks forum!). it's gonna be mental!

I was looking at the Queen Elizabeth hall seating plan on the Royal Festival Hall's excellent booking system.
Looks like all front stalls tickets are gone.
Had a look at the rear stalls and something made me chuckle. Obviously the first few rows are gone but then there are about four rows available until you get to the back where someone has booked two seats right in the last row, right-hand corner.
Do you think they;
A) Have a weak bladder?
B) Cannot bear to be too far from the bar?
C) Think it's like the cinema where they can get up to naughties with their other halves?
D) Have the car on a meter?
E) Are Sonic Boom + 1 and do not want to be spotted?
I'm intrigued......

Try Gigsandtours.com for tickets for the Manchester gig. Got tickets in the stalls off there yesterday. Think they've just got the 2 tiers left now though:-candy-cane-girl wrote:I got me tickets in the stalls for the sage, thanks for the heads up Jigs.
Tried the Lowry but only 2 tickets left at the top on bar stools?
Meh.

I saw this aswell, seems a little odd, needless to say I booked front row seats and not a far corner....The Breeze wrote:I was looking at the Queen Elizabeth hall seating plan on the Royal Festival Hall's excellent booking system.

If you had a medical condition that meant you had to stand,e.g The Chalfonts or Emma Freuds (for the sake of arguement), you could really annoy people seated behind you.gimperella wrote:I didn't know that...gutted...i didn't get the choice - had to have seatsandyblacktoo wrote:leicester is standing downstairs.bunnyben wrote:maybe they wanna beat the rush traffic wise?

I really hope I'm not behind a Nobby Styles social-club evening out!Twould be like a wall of anal-angst.
And gimperella, is there a gig that the 'missus' takes you to that you don't like? Perhaps David Gray or Texas? I reckon standing is better cos as she gets into it you can play bar relay all night.
what u gonna do? invade us? i'm sure blair will back you whatever you choose... i'm kidin', viva la republic!squirrel wrote:You're all a bunch of filthy dogs for this. The Yanks won't forget it.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if a download from the mixing desk was made available from this very site? For a nominal fee of course..it certainly sound like it deserves a decent recording rather than just a boot.
Anyways, - my tickets all sorted, Brighton on the first leg with my Girlfriend. Then road trip up to Kendal with some mates in November. Supercool. It sounds like there were loads of tickets left for Kendal.

Maybe there will be a video recording? According to the Komedia website 'Integral to the space is our AV set up - offering remote cameras, DVD, DVCam/Mini DV deck and Apple Mac G4 computer all fed into an Ederol Vision Mixer with onboard effects and displayed via two projectors on large screens. We now have the ability to do Live projection of the event - or to add visual effects as an extra Production tool.'
Let's hope the sound is better than on the Hoping gig disc.
On a similar theme does anyone know if any of the venues allow photography? Got my (front row!) ticket for the Lowry gig and on the back it says no piccies...

Here's a link for the Komedia's ticket page:-
http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketP ... id=5783251
It says standing on my tickets though upstairs is usually a sit down venue, not sure whats the score.

man I have to admire your committment. i thought Liverpool to Brighton was a fair old stretch, even though it will used as an excuse to visit my girlfriends parents, but is that your 2nd trans atlantic trip to see spz?? That is something else. You deserve a special t-shirt or somesuch.a beautiful noise wrote:does anybody know if you can order online?? we are planning to go to the brighton show? possibly another.

I think Mr Beautiful Noise has the right idea!! It's a load of fun travelling far for gigs. A very good way to combine travelling urges, exploration and music... I like the idea of both the band and the audience being on tour.
I can't wait for this tour. Judging by the recent Barbican gig I think it will be amazing.

hey thanks for all the kind words, i go to europe once/twice a year and it's always good to coordinate it around a great show. last time it was spiritualized at the sage.
so this time it's spiritualized in brighton. i believe that primal scream are playing as well as sparklehorse and i heard a rumour that mr. david viner might be playing. then it's off to france and then over to amsterdam.
well, if anybody is interested in meeting for a drink and a smoke, lemme know.
see ya soon.
